Feeling rather pleased with myself, messaged Craig Charles via his BBC Radio 6 funk and soul show page on Facebook asking if he was doing the festival this year and have just received a reply saying YES.

Gonna get my funk on......

I hear Mik Artistik and Fatboy Slim might be there too.

This guy... Jovel

https://jovelon.wordpress.com/2015/04/07/its-official-im-playing-glastonbury-this-year/

Don't know who he is personally. He says he can't remember which stage he's playing on but that it's the same stage as George Ezra

Hmm I know him but he's not a very well known act... unless George Ezra is doing a secret set elsewhere I can't see Jovel on the pyramid.

I saw Jovel, then known as Random Impulse, along with 16 other people at Kendal Calling in 2012 and as far as I know he hasn't released anything of note since.

Can't imagine he'd be on one of the bigger stages, but that is perhaps at odds with the George Ezra comment.

I'm assuming George Ezra is too big to do a secret set on BBC Introducing again? Maybe even Williams Green on Thursday?

Just because Catfish and his band of bellends have grafted for a bit doesn't mean their indie landfill nonsense entitles them to play anywhere.

I don't think anybody said they were entitled to anything, and if this is indirectly aimed at my comment i was merely saying that I am happy for them finally getting somewhere after touring for 7 years.

also, great news about I Am Kloot. Enjoyed their 2013 set on the Other

No idea who this chap is, or how reliable the info is but I found the above via twitter. He also seems to confirm George Ezra on there...

Edit: beaten to it. I should really check before posting

    • Elastica posted last night teasing a return, wonder where they would play if they reformed?
    • I agree but anyone under Rodrigo would be a sub in reality, that day would sell out in under an hour whoever is subbing, in which case Wolf Alice would make a lot of sense   The more unrealistic part of the scenario at this point is Rodrigo headlining
    • All you can say is...     If he couldn't convince nations that really would've benefitted from the short-term hit of an up-front £50mil payment by this time next year, what hope did he have?   Guess we'll now just have to monitor and see if this could derail Infantino's plans to be re-elected FIFA President next year.
    • Spider-Man: Brand New Day   Highlight was a bloke reacting to the post-credit scene by going "Holy f**k it's Tobey Maguire!" despite the scene having no reference to him at all. Which made my close-to-full screening of the film laugh a lot.   Film was pretty good. It was interesting as much as an exploration of the ramifications of the end of No Way Home and being about isolationism and male loneliness, which I thought it actually did quite well. Though I do ponder if I liked it as much as the other 3 Tom Holland Spider-Man movies. Sadie Sink was good tbf, while I also liked Jon Bernthal as Punisher, enough that I might go watch his Disney+ shows.   Seem to have had a Marvel kick recently having also watched Thunderbolts and Shang-Chi, both of which I thought were pretty good.
    • Wolf Alice won't get headliner for Reading either, they will sub if they play, that is where their level has stopped I feel. Both TFG and Skyvip for the big shows this year was just a stretch too far. Every headliner this year is bigger than them too I'd say.   Agree with Capaldi I don't think Yungblud will be at Reading. I would guess Bludfest 3 or Download.
