I think it may even be the first food place on the left hand side of the track if you were walking to Williams Green from the ciderbus (it's literally next door to the ciderbus)

Don't get me wrong it's probably not the best burrito on site but for the amount you get and with the free drink it's great and it's also supporting a local rugby club.

Friend of mine at Bristol UWE has got herself an interview with George Ezra after his gig yesterday night, I told her to ask him about Glasto.. awaiting a reply to see if she got anything back.

Out of interest do you know how she got it? I've been looking to write for the uni paper...

Think I remember her saying she was a plus one of someone's, she got it because of a friend so I'll ask for more then PM you

Update: she got nout. Apparently it was very difficult to ask him a few questions

Will they do a better job than your friend in Dereham? :P

Yeah, but for the free drink and nachos I'd sacrifice a little bit of quality. A burrito is still a burrito, and you can't ask for more than that.

Just spoke to Alt J in Copenhagen asked if the were headlining the other stage. They said nothing had been confirmed yet and they didn't know where they were playing.

Sounds like they are playing though

Always find it interesting when we hear things like this. We so often go on about how, for example, "alt-J won't play lower than Other headline", and how loads of other acts won't play below a certain slot, and so often bands don't even know where they're playing, and don't seem to care that much. It's like we put more thought into where a band will be placed than the band themselves do.

Oh, definitely. That's the nature of a forum like this though, and part of what makes it so great! It's often the band that draw the crowd, not the stage - especially when a band is established and has a following. I'd be surprised to see Alt-J play lower than Other but it's possible.

It's not the band though, is it? It's the booking agents. alt-J might not care about headlining Other, The Vaccines might not care about taking sub slots and working up to headliners but that's the booking agent's jobs. If alt-J do play a slot lower than Other headliner then their booking agent hasn't done their job properly.

Or the promoters don't believe they are capable of the slot, or the booking agent see's better exposure on the Pyramid and better pay cheaques down the line..

    • They are going to have Blink 182 for sure, early June upto around Werchter weekend I'd say for them. Two of Sweden Rock,  Greenfield and RFP are going to miss out.
    • I've come across a few this weekend saying Deftones aren't big enough for Download.   I would recommend b&b hotel hbf the night before....cheap, comfortable and very decent. Within 10 minutes from the station and a tram stop outside to jump on...all travel is free during the festival time as well with a kombi. Lidl is very good and cheap I can't lie....€6 for a chair with carey handle, €20 with a bag too...you can work that out yourself.   If you camp, get up at 5am and go to the queue....literally don't question it as now I know.     The travel wise part is easy when you get the hang of it and I've never had an easier exit from a festival today tbh. We were camped in the turn left section but past the registration and to get water you have to come right out.   Opening up an exit through he camp at least by Friday morning when everyobe is there would be much better but you csnt walk through general if you're green and sonon.   I think the issue for me probably too is I have never taken like a mutliple litre water too, I've always done a 6 pack water from like poundland lol but you definitely need it. I had one shower that was cold lol   Talking of getting into the front, Volbeat was the only easy one, for Maiden and especially Linkin Park if you weren't in the queue for it by at least the last quarter ot Architects you had no hope....it was shocking. I do like orbit to sit down. I had to decide to sack off Within Temptation too or no chance.   Second stage biggest gripe is the faff of walking all the way round when VIP or whatever it is literally get access to each bit. I did read tbh before going people though RIP/Ring was turning too much the wrong way.   Also as a side note, caught some of Limp Bizkit last night too and they are not headliner but any distance at all. Yes they pull a crowd...they would do with LP finished but on the grand scale its a super weak booking. Stop, start for video recordings all the way through a headline set?, 1hr 15 minutes and you can't play for that time. I'm so glad they were not chosen to headline main.   On another thing, if RIP played it right they'll get GC and Avril to sub/second stage headline on the Blink day.   Toilets and cleanliness is a big plus I will say that.
    • Any of the likes of Keo, Basht. and Cardinals could all fit in here.  Although they’re the sort of bands that could fit many of the stages at Glastonbury
