  1. Would love to hear of Arcade Fire playing to 17 people at brixton academy, due to a nationwide crackdown on a) people who don't understand the concept of consent and b) sh*tty ticket prices.

  2. Any helpers would be massively appreciated, I am in the coach resale group (along with my Glasto buddy). I'll check what arrangements are for sharing the spreadsheet. Payment would ideally be made if you get through to keep it speedy. I would then refund anyone that bought for me immediately I have proof of purchase. The confirmation email comes through very quickly so them means the repayment would be made almost immediately. I will also be buying drinks on the farm for anyone that gets through for me. I understand some would be nervous about paying for strangers so an alternative would be to call for payment details if you get through, but that also relies on trust and takes time during which tickets may sell out, but whatever works is good! I can provide some ID and have been on here for years although not a prolific poster.

  3. This is the best Pukkelpop line-up from the last years. Maybe one of the best line-ups in the European 2024 circuit. Congrats to the booking team. They made an amazing line-up for all ages.

  5. If any of you lucky ticket holders are able to help out your desperate ticketless efest mates by trying for resale tickets please send me a message and I can send you links to the spreadsheet @MatthewTurner has put together for this group. there is a WhatsApp group too so include your phone no in the message or I will try and include WhatsApp invite links when I message you the spreadsheet link. It might be in the morning before I can reply as I am being dragged to see Take That tonight, but your help would be amazing and I am sure there will be drinks and hugs in the fields if you help us get tickets. Coach Sale or general sale or both - all help is appreciated. Thanks x

  6. Can’t wait to see the same energy on here for Lizzo’s next tour. I’m sure you’ll all be calling for empty venues and being bellends to those who want to see her 🤔

  7. Won't be anywhere near as bad as you fear - tickets aren't available to day ticket holders - lot of tourists don't arrive til Thurs or later on the Weds night - some locals will still be working at that early time/Spanish tend to prefer to go out later - The National have played a million times and are playing 2 days later - Lots of people are disorganised/don't care enough and won't access the tickets when they go on sale - Some will want to see Phoenix and is a bit of a pain to see both Just some of the reasons...

  12. My next door neighbour's ex boyfriend (a true psychopathic) once came into my house as my wife was next door seeing his girlfriend for a chat.Anyway, this deranged man came into my house and started talking about 'how us men should stick together'. I responded with the line 'I'm not a man'. You should have seen his face when I said that. Obviously I am indeed a male of the species, but I don't consider myself a 'man'. Well, not a man like him. About a month later, he ended up lifting his girlfriend (our neighbour who owns the house next door) up off the floor by her throat. Her kids came screaming and crying into us at our house. And then I was given no option other than to rush out of the front door and confront this angry martial art black belt bloke. I did manage to do that. I diverted his anger and he let her go. Then he started on me. To cut a long story short I came out of it quite well, considering. Only a few bruises and he knocked one of my teeth out. Now, if he's considered a man, I want no part of being a man.

  13. Another strong announcement with a good few established names, alongside some interesting new ones I'm looking forward to checking out. Still a good few to come for the Boiler and Booth but the Lift is looking like the place to be again this year with loads of great acts (Bolis, Cellini, English Teacher and Glass Beams added just from today that I'll be giving a look). Already concerned about the potential clashes but it's a good problem to have I guess!

  14. This Sunday looks really good: Queens Of The Stone Age - The Offspring - Rise Against - Motionless In White - Lionheart - Jessie Murph - Hot Milk - Jesus Piece... I might take a ticket this week before it's soldout.

  16. Sometimes I don’t know how I feel about these ticket competitions that play into the hype of how difficult it is to buy Glastonbury tickets (or, I suppose, how demand far exceeds supply). Part of me thinks that the competitions are a result of the festival being over commercialised (which I do realise it probably has to be these days for financial reasons) but nonetheless it just becomes and feels a bit tacky and against the ethos of the festival for people to engage in overconsumption for a ticket so that a company can make an Instagram reel. I suppose I say this because I’m jaded and haven’t got a ticket, so easy for me to be negative and hasn’t stopped me from entering.

  20. This has been my approach for the last 10 years or so. Stop with the beer/cider before the sub-headliner, have a piss between sub and headliner and get the hipflask of spiced rum out to get me through to midnight. Seems to work well.

  26. I thought that it might be an unwise thing to do. Then again he's an absolute monster for drugs, so looking after himself isn't exactly a priority. I have another mate who can do Glastonbury without having a sh*t, or taking Imodium. He has his last dump in a motorway service station (he can time such things) on the way down to the festival (from Birmingham) and then releases the 'Mother Load' in another service station on the way back to Birmingham.

  27. Every year for the past three years we’ve put a white board on the fridge and as we listen to playlists (and from past performances) we add / delete. The hell no is no disrespect to artists- just not our type of music! We then take out loads when the timings come in 😂 So who’s on yours so far?

  30. I'm the same on wanting it to be over and done. I'm about 95% certain its not happening in the resale, its just so popular. I'll have to go on a full ignore and unfollow of everything Glastonbury related from Sunday most likely!

  34. Yeah, feeling this more than ever these days. Think going forward I’m going to try to stick to events like Glastonbury and 2000 trees unless there’s a band I’ve never seen playing elsewhere. Go to independent venues etc. I feel like the festivals only end up going the way of R&L and the user/goer is getting less out of the experience and is constantly being sold something when I think a festival should be something to get away from your usual normal.

  37. I guess what I'm trying to say in a super weird and convoluted way is that we don't get to enjoy the little pleasures anymore because the money is all funnelled away by the super rich.

  38. Similar here. However I do draw a distinction between the ones like Tonys Chocolate/Oxfam , the Glastonbury Festival Emergency Fund Prize Draw etc that go to a good cause. The ones I really don't like (myself for entering) are the ones like Brothers. As far as I can tell any money generated from a boost in sales just goes directly to them and no further. Plus its wasteful, idiots like me buying something they really don't want for a very small chance of a ticket to Glastonbury. It doesn't fit in with my view of the festival ethos, but obviously not enough to stop me, as I'm still buying and entering. At the end of the day I want a ticket.

  39. Not confirmed. I remember a similar thing (special show for privately ticketed festival) and there wasn't a CT presale. I hope there will be though it would make things simpler for the dedicated. Thanks for your confidence xxialac, I will be online and trying when tickets come on sale and hopefully I will get one (happy that it seems to be linked to one per person as I know how lazy people are).

  41. Loads of room in Wicket - there was a big chunk of empty space on the north west side all the way through the festival last year. Wicket has its own toilets - the composting kind, with special small ones for the kids, like in the Kidz Field. Toilets are cleaned and loaded with fresh bog roll regularly. No showers though. Vibe is generally very good. The stewards are lovely and do a great 24/7 job of keeping bellends from accidentally wandering in. You can smuggle childless friends in as "aunts and uncles" as long as they're well behaved and quiet at night. Obviously not everyone wants to do Glastonbury that way though, and they'll be kicked out if they're too loud. After doing eight festivals in Pennards before switching to Wicket when we had our first kid in 2010, it was like a breath of fresh air. Really relaxed, quiet at night, easy to sleep (guy rope tripping is much rarer), and no fear of being robbed (yes, I was robbed one year in Pennards). My kids are growing up fast and I'm dreading the time that I have to leave Wicket Ground. I'll certainly never go back to Pennards. Too old for that sh*t now 🤣

  46. In all seriousness never attempt to avoid drinking fluids so you don’t need to piss. Dehydration can be very serious especially in the heat and when you’re dancing. I know someone who ended up very ill doing that a festival.
