when you've got Radiohead, The Stone Roses and Ed Sheeran, all huge huge acts, as your headliners i really don't think Depeche Mode need to be taken in to consideration :P

Yet the ironic thing is that Depeche Mode are bigger than all 3 of them.

I don't think they are going to do it. Yet he could hardly give any hints. which suggest they might when tickets are about to go on sale for their biggest ever UK gig, which is a very big risk.

I'd say from reading between the lines that what he said wasn't a cover-up. He went into too much detail.

Glasto must have had their headliners sewn up for a while as I believe they would have made an attempt at DM this year.

I'm pretty sure Glasto only had 2 acts sown up at the time of this year's fest.
('sown up' might only be a verbal agreement, that might have later changed. It happens).

Which would have left space to get DM if both sides wanted it.

I'd say that DM will have preferred their own big show, and will be self-aware enough to know that sales might be iffy is there was Glasto in the mix too, so while Glasto might have spoken with them it wouldn't have been something which came together this time.

I would love to see DM at Glasto but I wouldn't dream of seeing them at London Stadium (is that what it's called now?) - terrible music venue. I think you're probably right though.

What. Two of them are Wembley Stadium fillers and the other is probably the most favoured act among the Glastonbury faithful that exists in the whole world.

Hence the point I was making. It is kind of ironic that Depeche Mode were probably never considered as Glastonbury already had their eyes set on the 3 huge, huge acts, when you could argue world wide that Depeche Mode are bigger than all 3.

If you are putting in general terms a R&L act as a sub then they are big enough for Pyramid sub.

I think they could be an English Exclusive but they are big enough to sub without being an only fest now so I'd expect them to sub probably T too, under Biffy or Coldplay easy.

Bastille subbed t this year under calvin

If i could take that right now i defos would bite your hand off for it, only one clash, which isnt even that bad as im 100% to see both when they tour anyway

Not to shabby @FloorFiller

Would go for;

Kills > Iggy > The xx > Radiohead on Friday

Van the Man > Everything Everything > Justice on Saturday

Sunday is tough, that National v Avalanches v Royal Blood clash is an absolute nightmare. Weezer and Bon Iver either side of that though.

This like doing an early version of the Clashfinder; I love it.

Especially liking the Friday Pyramid session, too good to be true? A man can dream

Avalanches in to Kraftwerk - amazing way to end the festival too

Ouch. The XX, RTJ and Jungle. Clash City.

So much on there I love though so would take this in a heart beat.

Edit. Just seen my Friday night clash also includes Flume. FFS. 4 way clash.

Ed, FF and Weezer would probably stop me putting my ticket back in.

It wouldn't be a Friday night at Glastonbury without a silly amount of painful clashes
