They are using queue it and that information is available if turned on. 
 

I had a ticket sale on see tickets the other day and for the pre sale you had to enter your email address before you got a place. 
 

I opened a couple of browser/containers and tested it and it gave me the same session id for all of them.

Always checking the official site but nothing yet. Reckon prices might be up by at least 5 or 6%.
If anyone is interested Ziggu camp is available for off site booking with a refundable deposit.

Think some of the more techy people may spot some signs before it’s announced publicly if there are to be any changes

Wouldn’t expect any changes to be announced until very close to the ticket sale so people don’t have a chance to adapt to them.

Can anyone technical explain why they can’t just make you log in before the sale goes live? 
 

8-9am log in window, then randomly assign queue positions, one per registration. Or is that too close to à ballot for everyone’s taste

That's what the PDC did with the members sales, now they have moved towards a ballot, the two are not the same.

It's not a technical reason.  They could do it - they obviously don't want to make it a ballot.

There would be nothing to stop people registering using different email addresses, friends and family members home addresses etc and create multiple registrations. Unless a fail-safe system was in place to prevent this. It's a loophole that is pretty difficult to close.

Imagine if you accidently ended up with 5-6 tickets if all your regs got through?!

You could easily prevent that with a bit of planning (each group uses a nominated card - and the cardholder only accepts a SCA transaction once).

then on ticket allocation day tickets the groups are just randomly balloted. 
It’s felt like a ballot in the last few years, just sitting staring at the dreaded two lines, glancing nervously at the clock as time passes. Maybe the f5 refresh gave you the sense that you were actually doing something 😊

would be delighted to have that back given ive got sweet fa personally since the inception of new system

I havnt even seen the booking page since 2018 i think, its been absolutely brutal - prior to that i was 'the fella with the knack of sorting out everyone's tickets' cos i'd lead with the groups and the organisation of it all, and tended to be the first one through and sorting out a great swathe of us, and now i'm a know-nothing bum again 😄

Open the ticket sale at 4am in the morning instead of 9am to weed out the uncommitted.

I’ve secured tickets once since 2007.

I’ve done 11 festivals in that time. 

Thankfully I have friends with better luck!

Am a relative amateur in the ticket/tech shenanigans and not part of a large group etc. but personally preferred the F5 bashing approach and got through twice in recent yrs (plenty when didn't, mind) - 2023 but it crashed on me at the final hurdle and then again in 2024 where I held my nerve when it crashed again and managed to get.  Think now I am committed to volunteering if doing festivals as that's close to my heart, so happy to help others when the time comes round.

 

The most impressive I've seen was bus sales in 2022 when 2 mates casually bagged tickets while in San Sebastian, on a phone inside the stadium during a Real Sociedad v Man Utd game!

I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.

 

I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
