Absolutely zero chance that Ren is getting a 35 minute set on the Pyramid, especially a TBA slot, which will have people's expectations sky high.

I know it's true but I'm still going to believe it like I've believed Daft Punk were going to do secret sets in the past

Not sure if this has been suggested, but could that 35-min slot be a possible set by Nirvana with their guest vocalists like they did at Fire Aid? St Vincent is on the bill already, I’m sure others would happily join in….

I know, but a man can dream can’t he?

I know, I know. If it was Woodsies maybe, Pyramid, no.

Yep, would love it if he did play but I’d say no chance of him appearing anywhere this year. Would say he’d be suited to The Park as a stage to play.

Has anyone considered that the 35 mins slot could be Eavis?? And his band?

That’s what I suggested a few pages back!! It might be his last time if he is well enough?? He was on The Park stage on the Thursday last year.

That’s what I’m thinking? He may want to do it, I think it’s very feasible it could be him, he did two tbas at the park before

Why is modern day journalism so bad? Ok, so according to that Daily Fail article, Capaldi is playing the TBA “after” Alanis… the TBA is “before” her.

One can only assume with the proliferation of online ‘newspapers’ and everything for advertising clicks etc. there is very little in the way of any actual proof reading or editing structure any more.

I think you’re right, it’s so shoddy these days. The amount of glaring errors in articles.

Isn't the reason pretty obvious?

Massive declines in readership over decades, which result in less money being spent on journalism and production.

There used to be local newspapers throughout the country, which consolidated under Johnston Press  and a few others, but they struggled and went into administration.

As for nationals, dunno how many of us pay for quality journalism?  Not many I suspect.

Hopefully it’s accurate despite the errors . Good memories of the crowd doing its bit to help him finish his set . Although obviously tinged with emotion with him struggling

There's not even as much in the way of actual writing as you'd expect.

I don't know about the Mail, but I know that the ghost of my local paper has used Generative AI to patch stories together and combined with the lack of proof reading come out with some embarrassingly poor results.

I know the early sets usually aren't televised with a few notable exceptions (Rick Astley, James when they opened other, etc) - but I can't see the BBC wanting to miss out on a TBA that could be as big as Lorde, and Myles Smith on Woodsies

Absolutely delighted if it’s Capaldi. Was in the crowd 2 years ago and was just amazing!

Same. I’ll miss it this time though as it’s same time as Ash who are a must see for me. It’s an annoying clash (and with Franz Ferdinand there are 3 places I want to be!)

Four Tet posted on Instagram yesterday he's playing 4 sets - Tree stage, Woodsies, Sunflower soundsystem & Arcadia

Do we know the time of the Sunflower? Was it 12 in previous years?

Not sure we know at all about the Sunflower, currently.

I've seen next to nothing apart from that Four Tet post
