I imagine lots of dj s will want a go on there, probably back to backs - would skrillex be too ambitious a thought? Jamie xx would be a dream, but at 600 capacity not sure what the chances are of getting in there.

I'd say Skrillex is unlikely, Jamie XX more likely but i'd put it down as a maybe imo as i don't think it'll particularly that kind of vibe. As mentioned Floating Points, Caribou/Daphni, Four Tet are basically certainties I would say. possibly folk like Palms Trax, Job Jobse, Avalon Emerson, John Talabot, Midland I could maybe see on there as well. As it's inspired/collab with the Cosmic Slop night/soundsystem from Leeds I'm fully expecting their resident DJs to be involved too.

 

Might be 600 capacity but if all unannounced I don't think it'll get overly busy unless word gets out of actual set times, be a bit like when the despacio (2 Many Djs B2B James Murphy) tent was there years back, could easily walk in most of the time.

the funny thing about Despacio is that now people finally understand what it is and theyll go in there and such. 
 

Def think no Skrillex. You would get clued in on that i figure. He would tease. So is secretglasto gonna mess with this? Would really cause some crowd rushes if we knew who was on when or if announced at a certain time. At least the place lends itself to long dj sets so youll have a chance to get into something.

Yeah I'm sure folk were probably unaware then as it was like 2014 I wanna say + the set up in the tent meant you didn't immediately see where they were DJing from (the way it should be...) but I do remember being in there mid afternoon/early evening that year and was only about 20 folk max was absolutely fantastic though.

 

I'd imagine depending on the acts/times secretglasto might leave it as they are usually quite good with the not wanting to cause crowd issues due to any info they have.

The current thinking seems to be that the 35min slot is Lewis Capaldi (unless I’ve missed something today). Patchwork are Pulp.

nice.  We've had Despacio at Coachella twice now. In 2016 it was very easy to get into most of the time. It was also in an un ideal place so nobody would walk over there. In 2023 it was in a more central spot and there were queues at certain times but still manageable. Lots of curious people would go in and stand around for 5 minutes then walk out. The sensory deprivation really messed with them. New gen of dance music people dont understand clubs used to just be dark with nothing else going on. Just about the music. Although when it was hot you would go in for the air con.

I kick myself so much that I missed the despacio set up - probs why I'm so keen to see/hear this one. Hopefully I'll time it right!

Despacio was brilliant.

 

I'm intruiged by this Floating Points set up. It has the chance to derail my clashfinder but it depends if/when the acts leak

I have a few things on woodsies this year so need to train myself to 'swing by the sunflower' on my travels.

It may get confirmed beforehand properly - like if Pulp drop something on their socials or similar like Foos did for their Churnups set.

Or if you are friendly with any crew, they may be willing to share something - or maybe not 😄

I can’t get my head round EE saying Patchwork was a logistical nightmare. That doesn’t sound like pulp. Are secret Glastonbury pulling out legs?

Jarvis’ latest Instagram post mentions that last night’s O2 gig was filmed (“more about that in the months to come”). I wonder if the logistics EE refers to are to do with the BBC rights and perhaps Pulp wanting to be able to use Glastonbury footage as part of a documentary?

no chance I am afraid.

 

There are 15 musicians and dancers on his up and coming tour. Tickets start at £150. Just can't see him turning up with a guitar somewhere on his own.

Was wondering if the Nova Twins could be one of the BBC intro ones - as former alum from that stage
