  1. Feel free to put your tickets back in the pot folks! Ups my chances of getting one in the resale!
  2. I’m just hoping that if people are genuinely disappointed in the poster it means there will be plenty of tickets in the resale so I can get one!

    2024 Headliners

Looking at all the rumours about Pyramid headliners I’m just glad that there is so much more around the festival than the Pyramid!

    Press pass

I wouldn’t be surprised if media are asked to make a charity donation for a pass, that’s certainly what happened at Boardmasters the few times I covered it.
  5. I saw The Bug Club in Falmouth on Friday night, they were ace, well worth catching live.
  6. If The Smile, Pulp and Janelle Monae are on the line up then I probably won’t care what else is on offer…
  7. Few interesting names on Truck line-up, looks pretty strong.
  8. That line-up would be amazing…although the Stevie Wonder clash with The Smile is a problem!
  9. It’s really annoying that they have had to do this at such short notice, but guess there has to be a good reason for taking that decision. Like others it messes me up as I will be in a meeting for the coach sale and away for the general sale. Meh.
  10. Agree on caroline, had wanted to see them for a while but was really disappointed.
  11. Think we need less chairs around not more….
  12. Went for the first time this year and loved it, will definitely return. Didn’t know much of the lineup beforehand but found so much good stuff. The Kokoko set at The Boat was a definite highlight for me, great show, great crowd and everyone just really seemed up for it. Don’t really understand the criticism of the toilets, it would be better if there were more urinals though. Generally I think compost toilets are the better ones at festivals. Looking forward to returning!
  13. Amazed to have snagged a couple of tickets for Wembley…excited now!
  14. That clash of The National and The Smile would be a disaster!
  15. Would love it to be Billy Joel - would be perfect for it.
  16. He played mid afternoon in 1998 (think it was that year) - reckon he would be delighted with the legend slot!
  17. Bumped into Badger after Foo Fighters…
  18. I looked at the crowd going to the Pyramid and thought, screw this and went to Woodsies instead, one of the best decisions I made as Phoenix were absolutely brilliant. Not seen them before and so glad I finished my Glastonbury with them and a crowd who were probably the most up for it I had seen all weekend (challenged only by the crowd for Viagra Boys).
  19. The Fusion Fire & Spice place at West Holts did an incredible kebab in a naan bread, superb. The burgers at Eat The Farm were brilliant as always and, like a few others here, my visit to the Crumble Shack was worth every penny - went for ice cream rather than custard with my crumble this year due to the heat! Special mention also for the Mexican ice lolly stand at West Holts, perfect on a sunny day and probably the best ice lolly I’ve ever had.
  20. When I first went to Glastonbury the idea if having a flag was to mark your tent..you would get the odd one in the crowd (including that Wolves one which seems to be at every Glastonbury festival) but with the number being taken into crowds now it is getting daft…so, ban them all from stage areas. Also, so many of them are really crap…I think I saw one that made me chuckle this year, the Kendall In The Wind one. If you’re going to take a flag at least make it interesting.
  21. Forgot to mention twats who film sets on their phones - nobody is going to want to watch your blurry, constantly moving video footage when they can watch it all professionally filmed on iPlayer. Just stop it, put your phone away, watch the bloody show with your eyes and seer it into your memory
  22. I had a great weekend - agree with some of the gripes here, particularly around the open drug taking which seemed worse than i have ever seen it in all the years I have been. However, specific points - it was way too busy in places at times, I was getting out of the Pyramid field at the top by Row Mead to go to Woodsies during Arctic Monkeys and the build up of people at that entrance was a big crush, despite there being loads of room further along. There were families trying to get through (presumably to get to family camping) and were stuck, I felt really sorry for them. They need to have crowd control up there during headliners. - they need more water points in some areas, particularly The Park, the queues were enormous at times - whilst a lot of people were tidying up after themselves I saw so many people just dropping litter, which was sad. - people appearing to go and see acts they have no interest in and then talking loudly all through the set - during Cat Stevens (who was ace) for half the set I had some twat next to me shouting into his phone trying to locate his mates and then just talking loudly…the collective relief of the people around me once he and his “crew” left was clear!
  23. Suddenly I’m slightly glad that my bus is tomorrow…
  24. Last year I had every intention of seeing Paul McCartney, but found it was too busy so went and saw Roisin Murphy instead - one of the best decisions I have made at Glastonbury as she was brilliant. Watched Macca on telly when I got home, no regrets!
