So should I be checking Ticketmaster?  I know Taylor Swift tickets appeared on Ticketmaster on the morning (?) of her Murrayfield gigs.  I don't know how this Ticketmaster Production Release thing normally works.  Dave Rowntree is DJing the same night at "Fringe by the Sea" in Berwick (Hamish Hawk headlining), maybe I should just go to that, tickets probably slightly easier to come by.

They have been sending codes out to access the production release sale so keep an eye out for them, I would also be checking tickets, and sometime viagogo and the like have them for less than face, especially it it's only a couple of hours before the show as people just want rid.

Just an FYI the touts outside Manchester had basically nothing to sell and needed to buy before selling.

What's the deal with the production codes? What's the criteria for getting them?

I haven't see anything

They sent out emails to people who hadn’t been previously successful getting tickets over the Glastonbury weekend. Unfortunately, I didn’t see mine until I got home, by which time it was too late to register 🤦🏼‍♂️

I’m obviously just destined not to go this year!

For Taylor Swift at Murrayfield, we ended up getting production holds which were restricted view seats (£59 each) sat 1 row in front of VIP seats at £300+. These were lower stands seats and the sound tower limited the view on some of the walkway. We purchased at 2pm on the day of the Saturday show, and we got 'unwaitlisted' and received a code during the day on the Friday show. I think sometimes it takes them physically putting up the sound towers etc to work out which seats will be restricted view but still sellable at a discount last minute.

For this batch of Oasis gigs, I got an email with production seat release code on 15 May. The email was very explicit that the code was only valid for 24hrs from sale start or until tickets had gone so I think it's just a case of acting quickly and having push notifications on for your emails.

One of my colleagues got an email about lunchtime yesterday for a sale last night at 17:00. We thought it was a scam at first but after checking it was legit and he got 2 tickets for just under £100 for seats basically in line/just behind the stage. Similar view for Taylor Swift last year looked decent enough for the price.

I'd seen testimony for some of the Edinburgh hotel prices with Oasis, festival fringe and the Edinburgh Tattoo parade thing all going on tomorrow and woof.

Real skill issue for anyone attempting to book a hotel at such short notice rather than many months back.

I guess there's always the park bench or bus stop 🤣 people probably don't have enough for a £500 hotel after buying the tickets. Luckily when I went to Cardiff, I stayed at a mates' house who'd also gone to the gig with us. Was able to use public transport to get home after the Heaton park gig and the night at Gallagher hill. Good times to be an Oasis fan again

Think my post above is a bit confusing or misleading. What I mean is, were any extra tickets released and available at the box office or a Portakabin for tonight’s show?

I’d be grateful if anybody who checked on the site reports that here.

It's so easy to find a quiet suburban street a short walk from most gig venues to park the car and sleep in it. I do it with our campervan on occasion.  Obviously not routinely but needs must occasionally

Still got nothing for the US gigs I'm out there for next week. On the off chance anyone hears of anything, I'd be very grateful.

Looking for:

one for Chicago (Aug 28th)
one for New Jersey, either date (Aug 31st, or Sep 1st)

I foolishly passed up two opportunities for seats in NJ a while back, in the second and third tier, thinking a standing ticket would come up - now I'm staring down the barrel of sitting outside with some overpriced cans.

They're instantly gone. Twickets have turned alerts off - that's how I've always been successful on there. Now it's virtually impossible.

Everytime you click you're met with 'someone else is buying'. Soul destroying.

Appreciate the heads up, though.

Apolos. I thought loads were coming up for the US.

Looks like you need to get to Toronto instead!

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
