That was the best thing I've ever been to. It was absolutely perfect.

Just stood balling my eyes out at one point. The whole thing feels like a dream.

Absolutely sums it up. Couldn’t really ask for a better setlist bar maybe Columbia/Lyla for Bring it on Down.

Way exceeded my expectations. Hadn’t seen the setlist beforehand and when Fade away started, I was in heaven. Cast no shadow got me as well.

Heaton Park was superb. Bars, toilets and queue to get in all spot on.

Won’t see many gigs like that again in my lifetime.

I've always looked back on gigs from the 80's to the late 90s with envy... Before mobiles, when the atmosphere looked crazy, intense and wild, where everybody was dancing and singing, not just the pit, front to back. I've always yearned for that, and wondered what it felt like, I was too young at the time (and too broke by the late 90s when I was old enough.)

Last night felt in every bit how I imagine those gigs from that era felt, and more... It was incredible, best gig of my life, best set of my life, and it's not even remotely close.

The youngsters there smashed it, knew every lyric, jumped, danced and sang for every second of that gig... I was honestly a little taken back and blown away.

Many a tear was shed, it was sunglasses all evening. If you've got tickets, you're in for a treat... I'm not going to come down for weeks...

brilliant post and likewise I was there last night with my fiancée, 2 best friends and their partners and it was just amazing from start to finish. Looking around at the crowd and all you could see was people smiling, hugging and dancing, just so pleased to be there. The set list was bang on and the band sounded perfect. Lucky enough to have have been to Glasto 7 times, saw the stone roses on their comeback at Heaton park and over the last 20 years seen every band their pretty much is to see and this was just something else. It was a special experience that should be shared with the people you love the most and I was lucky enough to do that. If I never attend another gig in my life I’d die happy having seen that last night BUT I’m praying to the Oasis god that they play knebworth in 2026 and then the pyramid the year after.

Don’t know if anyone is feeling this, but I’m almost having Glastonbury blues from the gig. There are three “special” gigs for me (Elton, the Roses and last night) - maybe not in respect of performance but just atmosphere and feeling part of something special. Last night was certainly one - completely agree with the post which said it was almost like gigs of old.

Almost feeling a comedown from the feeling of elation - we live in such a miserable world where everyone is doom and gloom. Last night, like Glastonbury, just reminds you humanity is also glorious.

Yeah. I know exactly where you're coming from.

I've toyed with going back next Saturday, and may yet do, but yesterday was so perfect - it might be best left there, at least for Manchester anyway.

It was such a good gig in terms of atmosphere, occasion and crowd participation, that I forgot to mention just how good the band themselves actually were. Liam's voice sounded incredible, much better in the flesh than Oasis gigs of old I've seen on a screen... Much better. The setlist was perfect. Only song I personally wish was on it, is never played live, at least not with Liam on vocals, so it wasn't really a dissapointment.

Bring on Knebworth 26 🤞

At the minute I'm still on cloud nine... It's kind of like the Monday of Glastonbury, which for me is usually still enjoyable, as I don't head straight home, I spend the day / night on a camp site somewhere, processing what happened. That being said, I know what you mean, it feels exactly like post Glastonbury, so I guess the blue are to come.

My body feels worse than after a festival though, that was a LOT of bouncing for one day in the 30c+ heat!!!

Went Friday. Managed to get 3rd from front of the last barrier in general standing. What a gig. Up there with the best of the lot. Spent £250 on a ticket only 7 days ago and worth every penny.

Where did you get your ticket from? I’m after one for Saturday!

This is great to hear. Of all the Oasis gigs I've been to over the years, this (Cardiff) was by far the closest to Knebworth in terms of crowd engagement, demographic and joy. So please go hear this was the same at Heaton Park.

I'm going this Sat 19th. Using Big Green Bus from Liverpool. Drops you there and picks you up after.

Crowd doesn't look that high density from pic above so hopefully not a half hour weave to have a piss...

Could be interesting if it's 30C again though.

It was fine tbh, re density.

We were in the second front standing bit. Didn't get in til Ashcroft was coming on pretty much. About 25 of us and got a spot bang central, just followed the back barrier around (walking through the empty bit behind the oddly placed tower where the family watched from)

I didn't find any issues with the queues at all, there were lots of toilets. I also used big green bus, they didnt set off til midnight so don't bother rushing!

EDIT: replied to wrong thread, that was for @Pinhead

What was the view like in the middle bit? I'm going Wednesday and have front standing but unlikely to get there early enough for a wristband in the front section.

Fine. Nice view, electric atmosphere.

If I'd been on my own, or just with a couple, I'd have been there early but a day in the pub was easier with so many

Cheers - yeah says 1230 on the return tix which seems more than enough time to get out of the ground.

Says it gets there 3pm - how long does the queue in take?

Cheers - I'd be happy with that. Was it fairly easy to get in and out for toilets etc?

I went Friday at Heaton Park. Up there with one of the greatest gigs in my life - people getting emotional and the atmosphere was unbelievable, absolute belter from start to finish.

Surely got to be in for a shout to headline Glastonbury 27?

Saw Oasis 35 times back in the day, first in Wolverhampton in 1994, both Maine Road's and both Knebworths and the past 10 days have given me so much joy, taking me back to my carefree teenage years. Got tickets for Saturday at Heaton Park last year but couldn't bear the thought of missing that first gig back in Cardiff so paid £411 on Ticketmaster Re-sale a week before the gig and it was worth every penny, tears were shed as others have said. Went 2nd night too after a mate sorted me FV seats and my 16 year old lad came and they blew him away as much as they did me back in the day. Special moment.

Then Saturday I took the wife and some friends to Heaton Park. We hadn't been dating long, almost 29 years ago when we went to Knebworth together and Saturday night was special again, hugging tightly for my favourite song, Slide Away. No other band can come close to the way they made / make you feel away from the music. Where are todays's Liam and Noel's? There just isn't anyone close so I am over the moon they are back and back with a bang too. Seeing them so many times, some of them not so great (Wembley 2000 when Liam was smashed) but they are back to their blistering best at the moment.

I'm going to New Jersey with the wife too next month and that is going to be a fantastic experience. I loved Cardiff as a place last weekend and Manchester did the lads proud too. Nice pop-up bar in Piccadilly Gardens then onto the Northern Quarter where the atmosphere was superb. Bee Network bus worked a treat and definitely recommended. Went to the after party with Bez and Clint Boon and stayed until 3am and met fans from Japan, Sweden and Norway in there. Again, tell me one other band that can do what Oasis are doing, the gigs, the production, the merch, organisation, the social media clips? All been spot on and not one interview from them needing to promote it. As Liam would say Biblical!!!

For anyone who hasn't been yet, enjoy every moment, put your phones away and transport yourselves back to the 90's.

On my drive home on Friday night, i was trying to think of another gig or occasion that could possibly surpass it. This made me a little sad because i couldn't think of many other fictional gigs that could. All i could come up with was Knebworth and possibly headlining the Pyramid.

Over riding thought though was that might be as good as it gets..

I think that would be tricky. If I'm honest - two mates did the classic piss in a pint pot near me (and empty on the ground. No throwing, that's reprobate behaviour). I held it in

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
