Rowetta all but confirms Happy Mondays will be one of the support bands at the end of the video in this link. Unless she would sing with anyone else who is likely to support?

Edit - she featured on a Shed Seven song last year. Mondays more likely surely.

Anyone else here see the Mondays (and Doves) support Oasis at the old Wembley in 2000?

Yes but got there too late to see Doves annoyingly. They are, however, back doing stuff together again so wonder if this might herald their return too?

Also seen amongst the million reports last night that 'a source' has revealed they are speaking to Kasabian and Fontaines D.C. about supporting.

Probably going to vary depending on which venue you're going to.

I'm hoping for a couple of bands from Knebworth like The Prodigy and Manics. The Prodigy seems unlikely but they did support Oasis in 2009 at a few gigs.

Won’t be Happy Mondays. They have split for good now. Check Gaz Whelan’s tweets. Never wants to work with Shaun again.

She sings with Blossoms and Shed Seven so will be one of those.

Assume it'll be Blossoms then.

Are they? I didn't know that, it would be awesome to see Doves again, they were one of the best bands around and great live

Anyone with an Airbnb in Manchester can basically charge what the f**k they want that weekend.

Was bad enough trying to find a hotel when I was there for Green Day back in June, which was on the same night The Killers had turned up at the Co-Op Live.

i mentioned a couple of pages back that there is already eff all hotel rooms available for those dates

I went to Bolton that tour and we got Jonny Marr and The Healers instead of Doves. I think JM is rereleasing the Healers stuff? He could be a safe bet too.

Hoping being on the separate Gallagher mailing lists will be enough to get a presale link. Doubt it though

GDPR means this won't make a difference

And a short number of them. All tickets will be allocated at precisely 9am

Takes a while for 350k people to get through the queue

I saw someone on Threads say £175 for cheapest tickets at Wembley. No idea on the reliability of that info.

Theres no way its double the irish date

the thing is they can gauge the demand off this even more. Thats really the whole game. Data collection is valuable. Noel said it in Supersonic that they couldve done 7 nights at Knebworth with the demand. Like they shouldve never done just 2 shows.

I mean the thing is how many can get added. They could add 2 in between each weekend if they wanted to with the gaps that are there. And I mean who wouldnt be surprised if those Cardiff dates are not first and they have ones prior.

Knebworth could never have hosted 7 dates unless they had a month+ between each weekend. Any rain and it would all be canned

its also a nightmare for traffic

Fontaines have to be nailed on for the Dublin gigs. Its a no brainer.

Could massively eat into demand if they have their own plans

do seetickets use a queue like ticketmaster or the glasto 20 sec refresh?

For the most part, assume no difference than the Glastonbury sale. The Glastonbury ticket site is literally just a slightly customised / branded version of the regular See systems.

Apparently so according to Jez Williams who mentioned.they we're back working together in a podcast (the Hustle) last Dec. This was followed with a picture on the Doves Music Blog stating 2024 would be a big year for Doves so fingers crossed it won't be long!

When is Oasis pre sale taking place?  Apologies if answered before

Friday at some stage, unsure when yet - everyone who has been successful in the ballot will be told by 9am Friday and that gets them a code to enter the pre-sale, not a guarantee of a pre-sale tiket.

It's listed as 7pm, though obviously that could change.

    • I too am always a bit blurred on what/who constitutes a legend slot but would Sting fit that bill?  Those there said his IoW slot was v good and he has enough of a songbook imo for a Sun afternoon if he uses the Police's 1st 2 albums for a fair chunk of it
    • Thing is, I'd have said that as well.   But then she inexplicably ended up on the Wilderness lineup and that changes everything. I reckon if that goes well, which it will, then she's very much in the picture.
    • This has probably been discussed a hundred times already on efests but what constitutes a legend? I know some of it is my age but I don't see eurithmics or Duran Duran as legend status. Neil young or nils lofgren then yes and neither of them have overly troubled the charts. Duran Duran and indeed the eurithmics I would put in the 80s category and whilst it would be ok (human league at isle of wight we're fabulous) they just arent in my mind legend status.  Zombies played same festival- i would take that.
    • friendly tonight delayed , pitch draining pretty quick to be fair .... not sure it bodes well for other games with potential fixture backlog
    • Never happen, but an Annie Lennox solo or Eurythmics reunion would make me very happy.
