What's he going to say...I got it all wrong, Israel=evil, Hamas attacks totally justified?

From a recent survey of Israelis:

82% support ethnic cleansing of Gazans
56% support ethnic cleansing of Arabic Israelis
47% support k*lling all Gazans in captured cities

That’s just the ones who will admit it.

But keep defending them mate

I'm reading some Reddit topics (probably a mistake) about Kneecap and Radiohead. I really hate how anything that's not "Hamas is actually good, you know?" gets shut down as zionist propaganda or whatever.

I think it's normal for people not to want to support either government, given what each represents (and does)

This constant attempt to infer extreme statements from things that people aren't saying really doesnt reflect well.

Ok..hang on...I was defending Thom Yorke having an unfashioble nuanced opinion on the situation..condemning both Netanyahu's lot and also Hamas....and then suddenly there's some dodgy survey that irrefutably proves it isn't just Netanyahu but most Israelis that are the problem.

I mean...ok...that there isn't much love for the other side after everything that has gone on is hardly surprising...but not sure what that has to do with Yorke saying Hamas are c**ts.

I see Thom Yorke still just does not get it.

I think he is just tired of your sh*t pretty much.

Was there this much of a discussion when they played in Israel in 2017? Were you one of those people who was flaying a shame on you flag at glasto during their set? Thought not.

It's not what he says - its his actions in breaking the boycott. Something which he doesnt get round to in his 8 pages of poor me.

I didn't see Radiohead at G17, cos it wasn't the best option on the night.

Saw them at Glasgow green a week later when they came onstage to this

and Yorke gave his crowd the middle finger.

Good for him.

and his 8 pages had nice big font for those at the back...unlike the pages and videos of endless responses from kneecap.

Scotland sounds lovely.

It really is and Glasgow particularly (as a visitor) has some beautiful places, amazing galleries/museums, so much delicious grub and one of the most amazing venues in terms of Barrowlands (only been there once, but it totally lived up to the hype).

It was done by Pennsylvania State University for the Geocartography Knowledge Group.

That's the whole point. This has been going on since Israel was formed. The entire country is built on the idea that they are better than everyone else and they use that to justify atrocities. That ideology permeates throughout their society.

Israel should not exist. That doesn't mean every single person there should be exterminated, same as how not wanting Nazi germany to exist does not mean you think all germans should be exterminated. Israel is not even a legitimate country - it is a settler colonial state. There is no true Israeli identity, it is just a concept created to justify conquest. A two state solution is wrong because it suggests they deserve any land. Palestine should not be split up, but should be a land for all faiths - as it was before Israel came along.

Stop defending the modern day equivalent of Nazis.

Politics aside, they have some catchy tunes and they are lyrically quite funny (I'm from Belfast so can relate to it a lot). Never listened to them before today, would deffo go see them if they stay on the line up, let's see what GFL decide to do.

Ok...well there was this thing called antisemitism and pogroms and then the holocaust and the whole zionism call for a Jewish state or safe place and millions of Jewish refugees and immigrants heading there from all over and it was the UN that partitioned because it was the thing back then and it wouldn't have happened without soviet union being behind it and the left of the UK labour govt and also UK communists were definitely on board with zionism before they got all bothered about colonialism and race sometime in the late 60s and yes can argue they should have maybe not just done this whole thing unilaterally but maybe got some sort of agreement with the Arabs and done things differently or not at all but maybe take it up with the UN who just did the partition and then just let them get on with it as well as Britain who had a mandate over the land but were sick to f**king death of having to deal with it.

And also constantly comparing them to Nazis is kind just well...a bit sh*t really...I'm all for calling them c**ts, but why say that.

You should look up how holocaust survivors have been treated by Israel.

How is it sh*t to compare [horrible group of people that committed genocide and evil acts] to [horrible group of people that are committing genocide and evil acts]? Maybe I’m being extreme but personally I think people committing genocide should be stopped at all costs.
