Famously the crowd in front of the Pyramid and the crowd down the SE corner late at night are two entirely separate demographics with no crossover between them.

So at this point do we think theres maybe going to be one more official announcement before the lineup in March? Cause I think having to deal with Neil Young and making a non official confirmation did throw a wrench in things and they could just be dark for another 6 weeks or so.

personally think thatll be it .... nothing outstanding enough to make a separate announcement or headlines whilst being decent enough ... would like one of the other stage headliners to be randomly announced to shake things up a little

I agree with Crazyfool01; I dont think we'll get anything official in terms of acts annoucements.  I do think we might get a self confirm or two.

I think we might get one more headliner - but I'd guess it would be Olivia Rodrigo if so rather than whoever else it is.

Interesting point. When you say demographic, are you talking age related or something else? I didn't touch pyramid, even with a barge pole, last year, lived for the SE Corner later hours 🤩💪 and yes I guess I was a tad (understatement) older than average but by no means alone in that. 

And from what's been announced so far, my barge pole will not be needed this year either. So I'm kind of curious to know what demographic I count as! Maybe just the "SE Corner demographic"!

Way to go, and you’re far from alone as an “old duffer” amongst the SE corner crew. Have a read of my Glastonbury reviews on here if you can be bothered/find them.

The original post was sarcasm - of course there's massive cross over in the Pyramid and SEC demographics and equally there are those that don't like one or the other or neither. 

 

Most people like more than one thing.

I was watching some O-Rod live videos over the weekend and I have gone from being excited to wondering if I might just go see another headliner... great songs... wasn't keen on her live.

There will be plenty of crossover for sure if The 1975 are there, and that's not just the band themselves.

For me, the longer they leave it, the less faith they have in the lineup they've booked. As much as some people were happy about Neil being announced, the announcement felt like it barely even made the news - And that almost seemed by design, considering we didn't even get a proper announcement from the festival. We got an Instagram post from Emily, and an article on the website. No post from the festival on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. It's almost like they don't want people to know Neil is headlining... I can't even see anywhere that Neil has announced himself (aside from his weird rant)

 

They did the same for the 2024 festival, which was undoubtedly one of the weakest lineups in modern history.

 

Compare this with the fanfare they gave the likes of Elton, McCartney, Radiohead, Foo Fighters... Even Little Simz headlining West Holts was paraded more than Neil Young.

 

I hope I'm wrong, but I do truly worry that the organisers may not have much faith in what they've got booked.

That is, of course, if they have their headliners booked. You'd have thought if they had Olivia locked in as long as we belive they have, she'd have been announced by now.
