t it would be a ludicrous crowd.

Yeah I don't think there is much to disagree with there. It probably won't happen anyway, it is very very unlikely she would do this as a one off.

Kind of. But a bout a trillion people have just watched her on the Eras tour and this would be a scaled down version of that.

I don't see how you can get a much bigger crowd than say Elton. The field was essentially full.

Would be the most insane booking! Dunno if I would brave the carnage tho much as I would be intrigued. However, loving the reaction to essentially one man and his tweet 🤣

its kind of where any "info " starts ..... so can be listed alongside any other info thats out there

I'd maybe watch one song, but literally only just to annoy people who love her and who aren't there.

I'd be somewhere else, i've got just about no interest in Swifty. Suspect it'd be a packed field (obvs) but not rammo, not Elton John rammed. I'd really fancy seeing the rest of the site being quiet, i'm a bit jealous of the people who did that during Elton

Of course there’ll be a chunk of punters watching Mogwaii (insert random band) in Woodsies or whatever, but it would be a ludicrous crowd.

Mogwai confirmed too? Awesome

Wpuld probably be one

of the people Who’d watch them over Swift tbh

She’s just finishing a 150+ show mega tour, the most in demand and highest grossing of all time. To then get a one off show off the back of that, possibly the only one, would be absurd. It would generate one of the biggest “I was there” moments of all time.

Shes the biggest streaming artist on Spotify etc and it isn’t even close.

She’s got a massively wide popular appeal - from teens, the millennials who grew up with her music, plus now a much wider older audience now that ahe’s gone stratospheric with the eras tour.

It would essentially become a Taylor Swift takeover, all the press and hype would be around her being there.

Yeah I agree it would be a huge moment and a massive 'get' for the festival. I imagine the BBC viewing figures would be off the charts. Particularly now they've started broadcasting the headliners internationally (and last year could have been a dry run for her this year).
I do think regardless of success, her music is a lot more marmite than someone like Elton though, so would not necessarily pack out the field to the same extent. Or at least it might do initially and then a lot of people would find themselves leaving pretty quickly.
There would definitely be people queuing up at the pyramid all weekend to get a good spot though!

The best part of avoiding the big acts is, if you see an act you love, it's all super fans. Alt-J headlining the Park while Elt-J headlined the Pyramid was immense.

Taylor just a rumour?

Music industry bigwig with a slightly creepy interest in Taylor Swift’s lovelife says he’s heard she might be headlining. Meanwhile we think Stevie Wonder is in but Sam Fender and Raye are out. Oh and people thought Tears For Fears were going to be announced for Latitude but it turned out to be Elbow instead.

That’s about it.

Just for the fun of it, could we imagine who on Earth would be booked on the Other stage to draw some crowd away from TS?

Consider that QOTSA were opposite Elton, and managed to get a third/half full crowd, it feels impossible.

Get Macca back? Elvis? A U2 & Rolling Stones Supergroup?

Nick Cave, Courteeners, Rammstein, Kings of Leon, Stereophonics. None would pack the field but it’d be healthy.

Prodigy would be perfect to draw some of the crowd away. I would definitely be one of them. I was also there for qotsa and it was one of the best gigs I've ever experienced.

Yep. They would be perfect.

    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
