I wasn’t too fussed for Neil Young so this is welcome news. Always happy for a newer artist to be given a shot at headline. Obviously Neil is a classic artist but surely anyone bothered for him will have seen him already by now?

Just happy for another roll of the dice really!

As someone who knows nothing of Neil Young, I’m delighted! Opens the door for the unknown, it was a little tiring having them all wrapped up so neatly for so long.

I haven’t looked at their dates so not sure if they’re around but feels like Muse could be a reliant back up if they need someone in a pinch.

 

The 1975, Muse and Olivia Rodrigo still seems pretty well balanced

Obviously there’s a few months to go, but it probably means a replacement is on the smaller side. 

There won’t be a mega A lister filling the spot. 
 

So someone who is…..

 

A. Touring 

B. Willing to do it/it would be a big move career wise

Reckon we have three major names right now to fill Neil's gap - Fender, Muse and Stevie. 

 

Fender absolutely makes sense but again it would be unprecedented to have three young headliners.

 

Stevie would be an absolute dream and an excellent name for a veteran act with a crowd-pleasing back catalogue.

 

But I think Muse are a really good shout for it. Got festivals lined up for next year, a reliable headliner with many recognisable hits and an excellent show every time they've played. Maybe I'm biased because I am a massive fan but I think I can see it.

Just can’t see Muse headlining in 2025. They are great live but everything they’ve released in the past few years has been absolute sh*t
