Sasperella2
1. Young Fathers. I love their albums but seeing it live was next level. Really shows how they've taken a lot of quite different sounds and meshed them together to make something mesmerising. 2. Vlure on BBC Introducing. About 40 degrees and totally bonkers. 3. Texas. Just cuz singing your heart out with your mates in the middle of a packed field is ace. Genuinely saw so much good stuff though. I picked well 🙂

Drinky
Assuming we’re taking Elton, Rick/Blossoms and the Foos as read… 1) Carly Rae Jepsen - total joy in the sun 2) Editors - better than ever, and great crowd, Woodsies went full Belgium for an hour 3) The Hives - literally the same schrick for 20 years but when they do it that well and play like that… Edited June 26, 2023 by Drinky

The field was so up for it and into them, it was the perfect combination of time, venue, place, sound system, people, band, everything. Just 😊
Spencer23
1. Elton John, was just unbelievable. Don’t let the sun go down on me incredible 2 courteeners - just cause they’re my favourite band and it was one of the best times I’ve seen them 3. Arctic monkeys - thought they were incredible Friday night honourable mentions to - Rick astley and blossoms for the smiths covers The pretenders Sophie Ellis bextor 😂😂 sets most disappointed with Fred again own person opinion thought it was incredibly boring and I love my dance music lana del rey she’s a f**king diva
Bristol Boy
1 Elton - perfect end to the weekend 2 Max Richter - not cried since Blur 2009 so bookies were giving long odds on Midday Saturday 3 Generation Sex - best mess around with mates of the weekend Lana might have made the list if she had finished her set. Young Fathers, Sparks, Loyle Carner, Hot Chip all quality. Only act I saw I really didn’t like was Joey Badass although he told the crowd they had witnessed an all time classic Glastonbury set. Mr_Grump
1. Elton - what a way to end the weekend 2. The Hives - Pelle's ego is brilliant 3. Tom Grennan - his energy...wow Notable mentions: 1. The Lathums - Alex's smile from the beginning to the end 2. Courteeners - first time seeing them, what energy they delivered to the crowd...and fed on the energy the crowd gave back 3. Freya Ridings - stunning voice and so humble Edited June 26, 2023 by Mr_Grump typo
Riggins
1. Fred Again 2. Loyle Carner 3. Max Richter Honorable mention for Maggie Rogers, Courteeners were good but the newer songs are so mediocre, St Jude stuff went down a treat Edited June 26, 2023 by Riggins
DMCJ2
1.) Elton John - was just a big party and so much fun (even if slightly packed in the crowd), felt all the guests worked well even if not as big as rumoured 2. Foos - just them playing an hour of hits was great and when the logo changed from churnups to theirs was a cool moment. 3.) The Hives - always entertaining live honourable mentions: Last Dinner Party - destined for big things, captivating The Big Moon - so pleased they got big crowd
FuzzyDunlop
Prize for the - "Stumbled across & WTF is this, it's amazing?" Henge - Truth Stage. Sunday night / Monday 2am. Mental. Brilliant. I was hammered, but it was great.
irnkrtn
Elton Carl Cox Chems on Arcadia Honorable mentions to Texas, Beth Orton, The Unthanks and Carly Rae Jepsen who I didn't see all of but was excellent
waltere
1. Måneskin - honestly for my money (and tastes 😄) the coolest band on the planet right now. Absolute born rock stars who completely and utterly killed it, probably oddly helped by being up against Lizzo meaning that those there in that tent were really damn up for it 2. Elton - can't see how, if ever, that combo of ginormous crowd size and ridiculous arsenal of bangers can be matched 3. Skindred - managed to convince my entire group to stay for it, despite mostly being very much not metalheads. They all absolutely loved it Honourable mentions to Panic Shack, Bobby Friction's Bhangra All-Stars (the run on Truth on Thursday night of those two into Skindred is one of the funnest nights I think I've ever had at the festival), the Hives, Rick Astley, GnR, OMG Its the Church, Henge For a year where I was very much whelmed by the lineup going in it ended up being arguably my favourite, at least music wise, of the seven I've been to. It's a shame the way everything seemed to shake from the drumming doesnt come through on iplayer... but it still looks good on there. I went on my own whilst my mates went to Fred. Great to hear it was good! I got in there with about 20 mins of Flertmac Wood to go. Stayed for all of DJ Yoda. Queued for under 5 mins to get in. Wasnt full for Yoda either. Fleetmac Wood got a bigger crowd. Yoda going from the Imperial Death March into Yeah, by Usher - that was a highlight.

I’ve seen Henge a bunch of times now, nothing quite tops the first time stumbling across them like you did (though their 3am set at Boomtown last year is up there), still adore them though. I love seeing the reactions around me of everyone at their first Henge gig.
sjseabass
My 3 are Sparks, Charlotte Adigery & Bolis Pupil, and Viagra Boys. Knew Sparks would be amazing after seeing them last month, and that CA&BP would be as well because their album is one of my recent favourites, but Viagra Boys I only gave a quick listen before the fest to fill a gap in my schedule and man they were absolutely sick. Can’t wait to listen properly and see them again. Big honourable mentions to Grove, Skindred, Working Men’s Club, Jockstrap, Leftfield, Fat Boy, Editors, Queens, Henge and Oh My God! It’s The Church. Sasperella2
I took it far easier this year than I have previously at night but I do genuinely think that during the days I saw more great stuff than I usually do. Although now reading about all the stuff I didnt see is giving me FOMO 😄
