In B&W you could come & go as you please, you just had to show your tickets when driving back in (and have your parking pass displayed). Made it so much easier for the trip back home as I was able to fill up with fuel in advance. The only 'negative' with B&W were the shower facilities...only 5 showers (in 2 blocks) for blokes (not sure how many there were for women) and they weren't cleaned the whole time we were there...so by the Sunday they were a bit grim. The buses after Elton were a bit of a pain due to the traffic controls travelling east on the A361...we were only queuing 20 mins to get on a bus. As for the pace home, I think the key was leaving at that time...the roads up to Bristol were so quiet, although we turned off the A37 and went along the A39 for a while before heading 'cross country' to avoid the city centre (we went through Keynsham). Once we joined the M32 it was motorway all the way home.

We arrived at B&W 1:15pm on Tuesday lunchtime, only 1 caravan in front of us so no queue. Our pitch was 2 min walk from the main 'drop & collect' bus boarding point & 5 mins from the campervan bus boarding point. We were fully set up by 3pm and in Wetherspoons in Wells by 4:30pm! We left B&W at 5:30am Monday morning, it was an absolute breeze! We arrived home in West Yorks at 10:15am (would have been sooner but hit rush hour on the M42 south of Brum) - a 220 mile trip, towing a caravan...4hrs 45mins was much better than we could have hoped. We'd do B&W again, the bus transfers weren't that painful (with the exception of Wednesday lunchtime).

One of the biggest frustrations for me was people (both men & women) pi$$ing in 'non-toilets'. Men stood openly against hedges & fences. Women squating over cups from the bars and then pouring it onto the ground when people 'weren't looking'. So much for the "I will only use the toilets provided and not pee on the land" pledge. Not only does it put the festival at risk, but it's just disgusting.

I'll start it off with Blondie. Might be seen as controversial by some, but I feel Debbie just doesn't have it any more. Started of well with 'One Way or Another' but then went rapidly downhill...time for her to step back.

In 2013 four of us got into the car park at around 2:00/2:15am on the Wednesday morning and joined the queue that had already started. In the first 20/25 mins we made friends with our 'queue neighbours' and then two of us headed back to the car to grab a couple of hours kip, then swapped with the two who were still in the queue. There was a bit of light hearted banter when we swapped over, but a few comments like 'why didnt we think of that' lol In the four hours the queue had moved but was easy to find each other - and all we were carrying were two tents which made it so much easier than moving everything that was back in the car. By 7am all four of us were back in the queue waiting for the final push to the 8am opening.

Another vote for Igloo...they're not cheap but they are brilliant & last hell of a lot longer than a bog standard coolbox. We usually pour bags of ice in after filling it with drink (that has been chilled down in a fridge), we still had some bits of ice in there on Sundays after filling it up on the Tuesday evening. Plus freeze bottles of water...they're better than the blue blocks & you can drink them by Saturday/Sunday. In addition, make sure you only open the lid for the bare minimum time...the more it's open, the more warm air gets in.

The campervan fields (both East and Bath & West) are open for arrivals from midday on the Tuesday...so you can come a day earlier than planned if you wanted...should give you a better chance of setting up closer to gate C (E21 is closest).

You never know, it may just be an issue with the wrong tracking ID being sent to you - your tickets may not have been despatched yet. When did you receive email confirmation of despatch? I got my email last Tuesday & received the tickets on Thursday...so if you've only just got confirmation through, your tickets may not be in the Royal Mail system yet.

My tracker pinged into life when it arrived in the local delivery office...advising it would be delivered before 1pm that same day.

No, you get your campervan tickets with your festival ticket...both mine arrived Thursday in the same envelope.

As all of the campervan fields are 'outside' the fence, I was wondering what the position is regarding wristbands...do you get a second wristband to show you're in one of the outside fields (I've attended other festivals where this happens to show you're staying in a non-standard location) or is it a free-for-all where anyone with a festival wristband could potentially enter the campervan fields? In addition, are the main festival wristbands issued at the pedestrian gates the first time you enter the main site? This is our first time in live-in vehicle and from what I remember about the last time we attended when we camped (which was 9 years ago), we were issued with a 'pass-out' to be presented with the photo part of the main ticket when going back & forth to the carpark to collect stuff - if seperate wristbands aren't issued, I'm assuming this pass-out approach is taken for all those staying 'outside the fence'?

I seem to think I read somewhere on here that last year, at Bath & West, the on site toilets and shower facilities were open & available to us - can anyone confirm or deny it? If they were open, what are the chances of them being open again this year? I'd have gone to B&W themselves but their website states "The Bath and West Showground does not handle any queries regarding Glastonbury Festival"...the official Glastonbury website simply implies that there are fresh & waste water facilities plus disposal points for toilet waste. In addition to any potential toilets/showers, what other facilities were there last year? Food stalls? Bars? etc

There are lots of factors you need to bear in mind with power banks, with the following been the main four; mAh of the power bank wattage of the power bank mAh of the device being charged type of port (USB-A, USB-C etc) being used to charge The higher the wAh of the power bank the better as this is the amount of charge it'll hold. What you need to factor in is that the maximum capacity needs to be 'derated' as the stated capacity is in an 'ideal world'. Outside temperature, age of the power bank, how long since it was charged will have an impact on the charge so the suggested guidance is that 80% of it's capacity would be a truer rating. To work out how many times you can charge a device from a power bank is to divide the 'derated' mAh by the mAh of the device, that should give you an indication. eg as a rough guide, a power bank has an mAh rating of 20,000mAh. The derated figure would be 16,000mAh (20,000 x 0.8). If your mobile has a 3,000mAh battery (if you google it you should find the rating), you should be able to charge it up to 5 times with your power bank (5 x 3,000 = 15,000). The speed of charge is driven by the wattage of the power bank, the higher the wattage, the quicker the charge. That being said, a USB-C will charge a lot quicker than a USB-A.

Lebara piggyback Vodafone's network...there's currently an offer where you can get a monthly contract for £1.49 per month (for the first 3 months) for the usual unlimited mins & texts, along with 10gig of 5g data. I'm with O2 and have just signed up to a Lebara sim. Lebara As they piggyback Vodafone, you'll get the same coverage as Vodafone customers. All you need to do is cancel the contract afterwards. I know you'll end up with a second number but you could always check with Three if they can forward your calls to the new number?

Do the on-site cash machines charge for withdrawals? I'm very much cashless these days and being a tight yorkshireman, don't want to pay to get what's mine 🤣

You get the campervan/caravan tickets after the main sale - but getting one isnt guaranteed...it's like a mini-main ticket sale when they come available to book (normally about a month after the main sale). Not sure if you can get a refund after buying one (in other words there may not be a resale) as you have to pay in full at the time of booking, it's not like the main ticket deposit scheme.

The introduction of the clean air zone in Bristol city centre might have an impact on some campervan & caravan towcars, with a potential charge of £9 for just passing through (all depends on the vehicle emissions). The Google maps route to Bath & West from North would be M5 > M4 > M32 > A37. This would take vehicles through the clean air zone. Whilst lots of vehicles will be within the zero fee emissions limit, is this route a sensible route to take (owing to the city centre) or would the best option be to continue down the M5 to Bridgwater and come in from the west, through Glastonbury, West Pennard & Pilton?

Our reminders have just landed too...time to start some serious planning once paid.

The chances of needing something so early is highly unlikely, but there's always the chance! Nah, it's just that there's always the chance that we'll forget something...or run out Likewise! How did you know you'd forgotten it before you arrived on site? lol
