  1. The futuristic sticks are still there though, no? I guess maybe they're positioned a bit wider
  2. Exactly this. A harrowing start to an otherwise lovely weekend!
  3. It just makes makes no sense! It's right by the coach entrance! And instead of entering into a lovely green field slowly filling up with tents, you get shoved down some horrible metal pathway for ages with all of your sh*t! Awful.
  4. They changed the walk-in to The Park from those lovely wooden flowers and ribbons, to some futuristic looking sticks. I don't know why, but this change really annoys me when I can let (almost**) everything else go and embrace it. (The other exception of course being the change of Pylon/Rivermead to crew camping. Which I am still absolutely livid about)
  5. I'm sure this has already been discussed, but I guess the area breakdown means The Park, West Holts and Woodside won't have their own poster announcements? Does that mean we're looking at less regular announcements than for the last few years?
  6. This is bloody excellent! I still wish they hadn't tinkered with the stage layouts but it did grow on me a little last year.
  7. I was going to start a similar thread! I can't go this year due to an unfortunately timed pregnancy... I thought five of my friends were still going, but they all put the tickets back in the pot (shocking I know). As they're not going I somehow feel as if I'm missing out less, but it still feels weird. I've wondered if other ticketless folks still follow the magic (including checking out the announced acts, watching it on tv, have people over for a wee party) or shut it out. I appear to be very much the former!
  8. This suggests that you might be equally surprised by acts you aren't too bothered about on the poster this year!
  9. That was my first year. It was magical!! I'm pretty sure I saw Fat Boy on the saturday night and I loved it!
  10. As someone who has a ticket but can't go, I can confirm that this lineup is good enough to make me proper gutted! Definitely enough going on there to keep me busy. Pyramid is weak for me, but I say that most years. Maybe I can go 8 months pregnant and just camp myself in The Park for the whole time (with a wee walk up to Idles, Kiwanuka, and Block Party... )
  11. I am in the "Glastonbury can do no wrong" camp, but this is a infuriatingly stupid clash
  12. I will genuinely be gutted if Idles headline Other in a year I have to go my ticket back 😓
  13. Stop trying to be cool - you must at like them at least a wee bit!!! The Hell Stage isn't even one you can accidently just be at! (I love them and I'm jealous. I think I'm only on 7....and that's been greatly purposeful!)
  14. The heat would be worse than mud I think! (not that I want to start that old debate up again!!). I also live in Glasgow, so the journey down alone is probably enough to induce me!
