Well, listened to this over the weekend.  Bought the vinyl on first listen. Great album. Thank you again

Well, well, well, was not expecting that from Fall Out Boy - what a bloody album! First couple of listens and it stands up well against their peak output. Never thought I’d be writing that 20 years later!

New Lana is also beautifully fantastic as expected. BCNR new live one up next - good day!

So surprised by this Fall Out Boy album. Was fully expecting to give it one spin and cast it aside but this is certainly staying in my rotation. Feels like all the creativity that was in Follie added with the musicianship they've developed since. Was expecting nothing at all after the utter disappointment that was mania

I've listened to the new BCNR Live at the Bush twice now and i have to say I'm not feeling it. I loved Ants From Up There.

I've only listened through once but can't help feel the same - the songs themselves aren't bad but it feels like a completely different band.

Outside of the other big releases today, I saw a bunch of stellar reviews for the new album by Irish experimental folk band Lankum who I don’t think I’ve heard before so decided to check it out, and damn, it’s so good. Not usually my thing at all but the whole thing is so hauntingly beautiful.

I'm at the other end if the spectrum (although appreciate I'm likely to be in the minority!) Loved the first album, didn't get on with Ants From Up There at all, but the new songs are a lot more instantly memorable for me. Although the vocals are completely different, still has the same BCNR style associated to them.

The new Depeche Mode album is rrally good. The NME gave it the most amazing review. An incredible review for a band that’s been around for 43 years. And yet… couldn’t quite bring itself to give it five stars.

It's really good - apart from the monstrosity that is 'Soul with me' - a truly dreadful track! The rest of the album is great though.

I think thats probably because it’s Martin Gore on vocals. I feel guilty saying it but… the moment he reaches for the microphone I make the most of it and head to the gents. Often he has his own little cluster of songs so it also gives me time to stop at the bar too.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
