Arctic Monkeys could definitely do the legends slot, as they've got about 6 albums out now and been around for ages. Pulp will deffo headline one night as they're on a comeback and that means Harry Styles does the Friday, with GnR opening the other.

Pulp are not headlining and GnR are not opening the other

You can search on whatsapp. Maybe try search for 'elton john' or something you'll probs find itΒ

id be very happy with Styles/Arctics/Elton, because i have absolutely no interest in the first two and am all over the last one, and more than one night at the pyramid is not on my agenda at all. Itd keep lots of people happy, is balanced between young appeal/indie dross/oldie, and Styles, while musically is very much not my cup of tea: i'm a very big fan of how much he annoys peopleΒ πŸ˜„Β if hes rustling many a jimmie, then he's alright by meΒ

I would also love it if AM weren't in the lineup afterall just because they've been such a 'dead-certain' and I'd rather have a surprise now.Β

What if you've all got the year wrong and they're coming on Friday in 2024 not 23 🀣

Highly doubt AM will be on the road still by 2024.

I do agree though, a common thing that seems to happen is people having right info but being a year out.

You seem to frequent the AM forums a bit … what chances the day is out ? And it’s Fri and not sat for themΒ

A reliable source?

If Styles was in the running in october i highly doubt he would turn it down. Makes me wonder where the GnR chat has come from.

Tbh I’ve no idea … but they have Elton right … but not sure that was a massive stretch in imaginationΒ

I don't think Friday was ever mentioned on the AM forums it was just assumed on here due to playing Glasgow on the Sunday. It appears they do not need a gap tho based on other dates.

Are you seriously suggesting a band that have headlined twice don’t have a relationship with the festival, or it’s some kind of secret? πŸ˜‚

Not in the same way Damon/Jarvis/Chris Martin/Thom Yorke do.

I've never see a report of anyone from AM being onsite outside the years they were playing, they never mention Glastonbury in interviews (except when they're doing it).

So @Super Johnny Fos,Β who started this Harry chat today said the three headliners were Harry - GnR - Elton

@Crazyfool01Β saying his original info was Harry - AM - Elton

Can't both be right....

For what it's worth,@roughblokeΒ started the GnR discussion (after their odds falling dramatically and Emily saying they "have to play" at some point in an interview) based on hearing they were pulled in to replace TaylorΒ

Super Johnny foos ? Anyway I’ve no idea how right it might be … tbh … at the moment it’s not impossible date wise … it’s a possibility I guessΒ

    • Another great weekend with family and friends.Β  We spend most of our time between Obelisk, and second stage due to having young children.Β  Overpass, Florence Road, Nathan Evans, David Byrne and Alex James were the highlights for me.Β  Quite enjoyed a dance to Gok Wan on the Saturday too. Β  Certainly feeling the Latitude blues this week and looking forward to next year. Β  Also looking forward to all the predictions for next year in the 2027 chat. Β  Hope everyone had a great festival. Β  Β
    • How much is Burnham's success down to Manchester getting a shitton of investment for public transport infrastructure? Β  There's no doubt he did the work, but the money dumped into Manchester for him to achieve that was huge - the most of any infrastructure project outside London ever. Did that need a mayor, or just the money?
    • Sounds good tbh.Β
    • Bristol was the only city in 2012 that voted for a mayor. We had a local independent who was popular, then Marvin Rees won and was so corrupt that Bristol voted to get rid of the position - having just had the WECA mayor position put in place as well.
    • They built a watering system and have been watering the island for the past few weeks to reduce dust, but given the current drought, there will still be dust. They will cover twice as much ground around the main stage with those plastic panels as they did before. They couldn't book Gogol Bordello because the singer was afraid the government would allow Russian security services to capture him if he entered the country. They didn't have much room to be selective about artists. They booked whoever they could get. This year's Sziget will be only about 50% of his original vision. He wanted a dedicated rock stage. They are preparing for a loss of 1.5 billion HUF this year. For some reason, student tickets are not selling in the numbers they had expected. He said that when he talks about the lineup being less important, he doesn't mean Sziget should have a weaker lineup than Primavera. Rather, it should have a similarly strong lineup combined with much more non-musical programming, so people from abroad come here to see the same artists but have a completely different overall experience. He didn't miss Sziget and originally wanted to spend no more than two days a week dealing with it, but now he's working on it full-time and has handed over control of the rest of his businesses. Β
