Came back a little early and just watched Little Simz on iPlayer. It was my highlight from the weekend. Fantastic. But… it didn’t sound like the TV on the night. I thought it came across as quite flat, 2 dimensional. A drum beat and Simbi rapping. The rest of the instruments are completely lost.

It's not really miming so much as selective singing. It's not like she's pretending to sing all of it.

 

She brings the energy with her dancing so I think it's a fair trade off.
