Just thinking its an incredibly stupid move really.  Wonder who he is trying to appeal too ?

I mean I'm enjoying it but I kind of expected a stripped down play the hit kind of deal thing.

Think he's just doing what he wants to do with the stage show - think he's touring his album now with most of these songs on.

They were absolutely fantastic. Have seen them since they began and the evolution of their sound and musicianship has been pretty startling. Same energy but sounding immense now. There was lots of talk beforehand about potential Glastonbury moments. Felt sure it would be during Macca (did get a bit of a lump in the throat for the first few chords of Let it Be)…but as it turns out, the couple across the way into the stripped down version of big shot was comfortably my moment of the festival…huge performance from them considering they were up against the legends slot.

Excellent to hear. I only saw last 15 minutes but it's one I'll go back to for sure.

Do not expect to see this Years and Years set on prime time BBC2.

Can only imagine the conversations in the production department on how to show this.

Either way it's a bloody good performance from him and all his stage dancers.

Yeah I've been wondering this! He crowdsurfed with it during Amyl!

The guy who keeps going in pits holding a guitar up in the air. WTF?

He’s had some tv coverage this weekend, he was front and centre at Skunk Anasie and Idles 😂

I felt the same, loved the intensity.  Spent the afternoon trying to decide where to see them for my birthday in November- Dublin, Belfast or Edinburgh (my home town).

I've actually really enjoyed Lorde. Green Light and Royals were gorgeous big singalong moments. Also I just have a soft spot for her.

Will be going back to watch a bit of Jarv shortly.

Mind is boggling about Years and Years so will have to check that out! Loved them in 2019.

I also really enjoyed Lorde and Green Light, a little surprised Years and Years are so high up and have pulled a bigger crowd than Lorde tho...

Apparently that's his stage show from his latest tour lifted straight for Glastonbury with presumably a few less songs - either way it's absolutely incredible. Just pure eclectic unashamed fun.

They'd (him and his dance troupe) make a great headliner on fun factor, but there probably nowhere near big enough.

Tiny crowd though.

Never heard of her either, so amazed she's that high up WH.

Saw the last few songs and she was great. She's pretty big to be fair, I guess if you want to judge it by social media then she has way more followers than bands like Fontaines or Idles.

Anyway Pet Shop Boys up with a tough gig following that.

Considering the alternatives they should have most of the older crowd still left in the field. Kendrick / Bicep / Charli is a hell of a split for the young'uns.

Bicep can sod off and Charli plays every festival going every year. Kendrick is where it’s at ❤️

I like both the others but will be checking out the Kenny set and praying he does the career spanning setlist he did in the states not long ago!

    • My party again had an outstanding 4 days in Barca. We made the right call to leave the festival site early at about 10.30 on Thursday to get ourselves some excellent steaks in the city. I am with everyone that the organization should have been clearer about what is going on and also if you would like to get rid of some attendees open more exits, they sent us from gate to gate until we finally were able to get out. Biggest 'disappointment' was the beer price, a YoY increase from 5 to 6 is absolutely nuts!!! (i am living in Switzerland so me making this comment says something 🙂)   Top 10:   1. Men I Trust 2. Role Model (could have been first as well, what a great artist and great songs) 3. The XX 4. The cure (the last 90 minutes) 5. Gorillaz 6. MBV 7. Ninajirachi (another big miss of the organization, clearly on the wrong podium and wonder if Olivia's surprise set had something to do with that and they had to reschuffle late the Occident, Cupra and Port schedules) 8. NewDad 9. Big Thief 10. Annastashia      We did 3 years Barca now and for next year looking at the Porto or Bilbao festivals as an option.
    • Personally if it was me now, I would be grabbing a green camping ticket with the knowledge closer when I've refreshed that I can still choose general if I want to....you can't do the opposite!    I would say if you are happy to watch your headliners and big bands further back to be able to see who you actually plan to later then yes it is fine. Its a much difference experience to any other festival especially food wise and camping surrounds.    Once you're in the arena as well you're not going back unless you've got a gap. If I go again I'll be going with the option of not trying to push the front and enjoying further back as you actually put too much pressure on it than the time take away can forget to enjoy other acts.
    • No complaints about the sound. We were like 2nd set of steps facing stage right in like the middle row.
    • On the whole then, yay or nay...I've had a look on festivals united and there's people who seem converted by Rock Im Park, I can imagine it might be different if it was a washout as RaR is tarmac.   The hotel side would be more to convince the non campers if it's an option. On my first visit to rock am ring we were shuttled into the area where you could stick the car next to the tent which was fantastic as it meant zero lugging of camping gear.
