The Weather Thread 2023

You can look at all the forecasts you like. What concerns me most at the moment is that Download might not be a washout.

Download ALWAYS takes the fall for us. The weather gods require it.

A dry Download is a bad Glastonbury omen.

I was thinking this earlier. Luckily there are warnings for thunderstorms this weekend!

For me it's ideal. I normally run pretty warm and as long as the sun is shining on your back you'll feel nice and toasty. Slip on a hoodie for the morning and back on for the early evening. Good to go.

Nope. 25 minimum. Thank you

Didn't work out in 2016 when it was dubbed drownload. Then glastonbury still got sh*tty weather

The BBCA use the MeteoGroup now, Utrecht based company

Chosen by "competitive tendering" - ie the cheapest they could get

😁

And they're sh*t. The Met are arguably least of a bad bunch, else look at the non public forcasts like the ones for farming and especially shipping, where the economics matters.

I've been thinking the same. I have a friend there and so far it's tops off sunshine.... need them to take one for the team.

Wrong feed I know but any idea how much a pint is there this year, always good to know as a measure of how expensive it’s going to be at the farm

This is ‘dry’ thread. Keep that sort of talk out please.

Ugh, nah. Makes for a lot of people crowding in tents and bars instead of at the stages.

I think you're mistaking the 25 for a 35. 25 degrees is just a nice balmy summer's day.

On that note, since when did 30 degrees become the "danger zone" rather than just "summer"?

Think around 20 is grand. No sunburn, good drinking, good dancing weather.

It's Goldilocks weather.

Not too hot, not too cold. It's just right.

😉

As all my local speed limits say "20 is Plenty' ...I can move stage to stage without dying from heat exhaustion, just need a micro fleece for the night time 👍

Speak for yourself, mid 20s would be ideal

Walked my dog Billy around 8pm in the woods in shorts and t-shirt (me not Billy) and it was 11 degrees and perfect 🤣
