Honestly, I don't think it's over (someone check the maths!)

I think it's

Prodigy 5

LCD Soundsystem 7

Can you please but your vote back the way it was when mattiloy voted. You've changed the way you voted and so that would lead to a change in result.

It's not. @mcshedvoted -10, without noting the vote. Then @mattiloy voted another -10, which killed Prodigy, not taking the score to 15.

Yeah it's my messed up vote that did it.

FFS.

Killed by LCD fans flurry of votes messing the totals up. 😂

Using singles charts metrics to mark LCD's popularity is as outdated as every Prodigy album since about 1994, and using intelligentsia-pleasing albums to mark The Prodigy's popularity is as outdated as every reference, hook and bassline James Murphy shamelessly pinched.

It was a very good final featuring two very good bands!

In a real hands across the ocean moment, I'm prepared to admit that I thought The Day is My Enemy was quite a good album.

    • Sadly, the ticket map below screams rear 5 blocks not on sale or never have been on sale. Especially when you look at the blue blocks with rows of unsold tickets.   And I say all of this as a big fan of Muse.
    • Personally, I don't think there will be any changes to the queuing system in place for the 2025 sale.  GFL will be aware that true bots are a risk, but they may also see large collectives of organised folks running multiple devices, containers or profiles to get an advantage as bots themselves, and then struggle to know where to draw the line without penalising folks who are simply more on the ball than others.   They will also be acutely aware that engineering tech to close those gaps will cost, and therefore eat into the money they are able to pass to the Charities, without passing those costs on to punters in the ticket price, which they will be cautious of doing especially after a 2 year break and the inevitable media coverage that will get.   This may all be naive and overly trusting of me though.....
    • went to their album launch show last night at the george tavern. it was fantastic! absolutely roasting in there though
    • I got mine yesterday but they sent the wrong ticket link, so had to email Ticketmaster and get the right one.    As for predictions, hard to see who else could do the Pulp/Sting/Byrne slot other than the Cure, and since they did Isle of Wight they maybe have an FR deal (Sting did both). It’s also the Cure’s 50th next year so imagine they’ll be doing a bigger tour. Pet Shop Boys or Kylie maybe?   Wolf Alice would be a dream. It’ll probably all be men again though.
    • Probably a couple of months yet....last ticket sale announcement was 10th October 2024.
