One of the great myths about Oasis is that they were this amazing, electrifying live act. They weren't. In 1994 Oasis were rehearsing directly opposite where I lived; with all their windows and courtyard doors open. I was dead chuffed. I ‘d seen the old indie bands in the 80’s. So I recall, distinctly, how much better Oasis were than these bands and how lucky I was to be listening to them rehearse. They couldn’t see me, because I was ten stories higher than them. I was listening to them as I was drinking my first cup of coffee; in a room I’d moved into, mid-term. I’d literally just walked in and found them there. This really cool band!!
