The Vegan Fried Chickn place that was near the Pyramid last time will be there. Didn’t get the chance to try as the Q was massive whenever we went past, not surprised as it did look pretty good.
Charm x

I'm hoping Strumpets with Crumpets return. Had many a hungover peanut butter crumpet and tea from there in the early-morning sun.

And what can I say, I like the strumpets, too.

Strumpets with crumpets have stopped trading last year.

I've never had an ounce of excitement about food stalls at festivals. I'm there to consume lots of drugs, not overpriced food.

Ill maybe have one thing per day after waking up and necking several Polish lagers. Often a pie and mash and its very stodgy and not the worst value for money. The carbs etc will do you well for 24 hours at least. i see it as purely fuel, not something to enjoy.

Saying that, I have a mate who likes to go round and do a runner with food from stalls, before they ask him to pay. Works every time! Some chump who is working for free for their ticket on the stall, who is hungover and coming down is hardly likely to chase after someone who hasnt paid for the food. So my mate ends up throughout the day every now and again having a plate of something he doesnt even want and just gives it away to whoever fancies a nibble. That normally keeps me going when i cant be arsed to spend a tenner on something i'm too mashed to eat anyway.

Truly Crumptious in the Avalon fields are sooo superior to Strumpets with Crumpets in every possible way. I would highly recommend them. They actually make their crumpets from scratch. Utterly delicious sweet and savoury options.

Sadly, the Strumpets have retired and strump no more.

That's not even possible.

Which food stalls give you the food before you pay?  None.

Yes, but do they have strumpets?

    • I'm surprised they risked it, especially after nearly missing their Glasto 22 slot under similar circumstances  I did see someome say Ellie didnt sound as strong as recently but I'm guessing playing 3 shows in 2 different continents doesnt help that    On the topic though I can definitely see them doing a Fontaines and having a break over winter before a few final Clearing shows next summer
    • That's fair on WA - I did recall people thinking Fontaines would take this year off before this was announced.    On the subject of Wolf Alice, they did Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday then Kendal Calling last night. Bit of an odd choice, no? Half imagine at Kendal that they would've been just exhausted.
    • Just logged onto the app to start planning my days and there really are a LOT of stages missing. Apart from the Seaside Stage there is no Casemates this year etc. Apart from the Seaside Stage, there are no Casemates this year, etc. Can't see anything about the kids field really. And there's local acts that are normally there like Kojak's Revenge that aren't appearing either.  Normally we get down fairly early but I can't see anything before 3pm I'm keen to see. Only one real clash as well, which is good, but it's thin and it's not thin in the sense of "I've seen a lot of these acts before"
