Nigey_boy
John Grant is due a visit in lieu of that Ezra person Also The National, Wilco, Nick Cave (Playing Ghosteen in full ), and Pixies (dream on...) The heavy punk slot will be for Tropical Fuck Storm
shoebox
John Grant is doing piano shows this year, can't see him headlining with that. Maybe Garden Stage headliner but not Woods. The National and Nick Cave are too big. Wilco are playing Black Deer on an exclusive (I think!). Pixies would be great but I'm just not sure if they're an EOTR band. I mean, I'm sure the crowd would lap them up, but they feel a bit too "legacy act" for EOTR who I feel like to give a bit more exposure to newer acts. Don't know though. The only headliner I feel relatively comfortable about putting forward is Angel Olsen. Possibly Beirut to make up for dropping out last year. But no-one predicted the headliners last year, so it's a tricky game to play.
SweepingTheNation
Pixies are seemingly in Europe from July 4th (BST Hyde Park) to September 2nd, so theoretically they could be playing either EOTR or GM.
Tomos_
I agree that the Pixies would be a strange booking for EOTR, but I personally would absolutely love it! What do people think of Big Thief returning? Couple of great albums this year... Not sure what slot they'd do either
Nigey_boy
Big Thief were dull as ditch water on the Garden stage a few years ago (love there music though)

It seemed to take them ages to get their debut album out there , and they don't really seem to tour much either. I've seen them three times...once at EOTR and twice in London...and they've been fantastic each time so hopefully in 2020 they get themselves out there a bit more. tombot
Bombay Bicycle Club are touring early this year, looks like they might have a new album on the way, could be a good Vampire Weekend style headliner shout

Don't think they quite fit EOTR's demographic.

Not a headliner at Eotr

There was a time when I thought they might fit, when they did the more acoustic/folk-influenced "Flaws" album back in 2010, but not now.
