  1. Would love PJ Harvey, The Smile and New Order to be the headliners. As others have pointed out, this combination is probably unlikely! I love the Pixies but have seen them a few times in the past five years now, so personally hope they aren't announced...
  2. Also PJ Harvey playing London on GM weekend - could also be a possibility?
  3. Osees have announced a London show on Thursday 15th August 2024 - surely there's a big possibility they'll turn up at GM?
  4. Managed to get tickets this morning (pretty stressful, sorry for those who missed out). First time doing Green Man after doing EOTR five times - looking forward to it!
  5. Do we know when the set times usually come out for this?
  6. Has anyone on the forum got any experience of stewarding/volunteering at EOTR? For various boring reasons I can't commit to going this early on this year, however may consider going fairly last minute if I'm able. The stewarding or volunteer bar staff gigs look quite good so may consider them. Not sure how quickly they fill up... I seem to remember they were desperately looking for bar staff the week before a couple of years ago!
  7. Probably won't be going this year due to another expensive holiday around the same time, but KGLW being there (one of my favourites) may tempt me to reconsider... LOADS of stuff I haven't heard of to check out anyway
  8. APE newbie here - didn't realise there was so much potential for cheap tickets nearer the time (should have really checked first). As I was only really coming down to London from Newcastle to see KGLW I'm pretty gutted when they had to pull out. Mogwai will be great but I've seen them before and lots of the other acts I'm not that bothered about or am seeing at EOTR the week after!
  9. Heading down to APE for the first time this year (for The National/King Gizzard day). Do you usually get stage splits/stage times beforehand? Can't really find anything online
  10. Anyone got any recommendations for Friday during the day? Not loads I've heard before on then. Been listening to Naima Bock today and been enjoying that
  11. Have had a little look through and it doesn't look too clashy for what I'll probably end up going to see. Apollo Ghosts -> Khruangbin looks like a nice way to kick off on the Thursday. Nice run of bands on Friday evening, and Saturday day time at the Garden stage looks great. Happy that Bright Eyes and Kurt Vile aren't clashing too!
  12. Looks a good Thursday line up to me! Was sure that Perfume Genius would be Garden headliners, looks like they'll be a woods sub now?
  13. Could see him playing the Woods before either Pixies or Bright Eyes
  14. Kurt Vile's tour dates say he's playing on the Sunday
  15. 4th time for me, had a brilliant time again. Although I thought the line up was a little bit 'light' going in (for obvious reasons), I managed to see loads of brilliant stuff. Did a top 10 on the train on the way home (no particular order): CMAT, Hot Chip, Melin Melyn, Kikagaku Moyo, Dry Cleaning, Arlo Parks, Pan Amsterdam, Romare, Little Simz, Richard Dawson. Little Simz -> Dry Cleaning -> Richard Dawson on Sunday night was my favourite three act combo I've ever seen at a festival - all three were amazing and a great way to round off the weekend. Food and drink were great as usual, actually much preferred the Two Tribes beers to Beavertown and had some lovely pints from the real ale bar. The nice weather really topped it off! Will almost certainly be back next year, although am also thinking of trying Green Man for the first time and not sure I can afford both!
  16. Just got an email from National Express. Looks like COVID-19 checks will be before we get on the coach with an 'End of the Road representative'. I assume this is to make it a quicker process once we get there...
  17. What about Martha for a secret set? Two of the members are in Fortitude Valley
  18. Did anyone catch Hen Ogledd at Green Man? If so, how was it?
  19. Do we think Richard Dawson will be doing his show solo or with his band? Either way it will be amazing
  20. Kikagaku Moyo into Stereolab will be a great Thursday night double! Managed to miss KM a couple of years ago, looking forward to them especially
  21. Arab Strap into Stereolab is a pretty strong Thursday line up
