Was just gonna post that.

Seems like there's a lot going on independent of any Glasto visit tbf, with confirmation of small venue shows to mark Hot Fuss' 20 years anniversary and that Brandon is planning to release a solo album in 2025.

Yeah, I think it makes it seem more likely than it probably is.

Probably - don't think anyone expected it to get up to 6 dates!

The Killers are actually an undisputed headliner worldwide though - unlike Editors who can't sell 5k in London these days!

Yeah, but a small-ish one in Belgium though. Their day at Pukkelpop of this year (together with Florence and the Machine, Macklemore, Dropkick Murphys, Foals, King Gizzard, Loyle Carner,...) never sold out, for instance. The show was not too great as well...

Saddens me to hear that the Belgian people's love affair with Editors is fizzling out.

Not even close, it seems. Editors are playing in tents nowadays.

I actually wanted to go to that but couldn't get annual leave to visit Belgium arranged. Though Florence pulling out did make me slightly less unhappy to miss out, given a Killers-Florence-Foals 1-2-3 is something I would've been on board with.

I did gather it didn't sell out though.

It is odd tbf that they headlined Werchter above Depeche Mode in 2013 but were put onto the Barn this year, even if the post above says they still drew a big-ass crowd.

They are doing Antwerp Sports Paleis in March (think London O2 size) and Ticketmaster Belgium hints that while tickets are still available, most of them are taken.

Worth noting about as many people live in London as the entirety of Belgium

    • Primavera refunding day tickets which are probably a negligible percentage of attendees yesterday.
    • Thursday day tickets being refunded. Fair play.
    • I’ve had a good sleep and I feel weirdly zen about the whole thing.   My first Primavera, so not the greatest first impression. I guess today couldn’t be any worse, right?   Thoroughly enjoyed Men I Trust and Geese. Cupra is a beautiful stage and the crowd seemed fun, friendly and engaged.   I think it probably could have gone even worse, considering how dangerous the crowding felt at times.   Anyway, we go again.
    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
