They self-confirmed to play again ages ago, but not the time or place.  I've always been a bit doubtful regardless.

Seems unlikely they would play in exactly the same spot. Sunset in the Park would be nice.

Yeah .... but it's that orchestra thing innit? Need the extra time to set up... (I think)

The Specials

Groove Armada

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs

I was really surprised not to see The Specials on the poster considering how much they are playing this summer else where and they jus fit into Glasto

Indeed - it's been 10 years too!

I was hoping for Foals - I think they might be announced as Other headliners during the next wave of the lineup.

Also I was hoping Elbow would pop up somewhere as the festival house band!

The only thing with Foals being mentioned as the Other headliners, is that they'd likely play Saturday and wouldn't they be too similar in genre to the Killers?

For selfish reasons, I'd hope Chemical Brothers go to Saturday! I thought Orbital were nailed on to play too?

I'm selfishly hoping that Tame Impala are on Sunday and Chems on Friday (though unlikely), as I wanna see Stormzy, and my girlfriend wants to see Tame Impala... But neither of us wanna see The Cure!

I thought we were expecting Orbital in John Peel, although I had them down for West Holts initially.

Yeah that is true. If they could shift the Chems to Saturday Other Headliners and then stick Foals on Sunday that would work!

    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
