I'll be pretty sad if there's no R1 tent. It was my second favourite stage after FR. Although it's quite large, it still felt somewhat intimate if you were in the front section. The main stage is so far away from the barrier and it's always busy so doesn't feel anywhere near as intimate.

Got to be hedging bets in case indoor gatherings are still banned but outdoors are ok

In regards to that 1975 set I’ve just finished it as well and it’s straight in my top 3 shows what a fucking night

and in regards to 21 Pilots again absolutely immense, top 5 and I don’t think I’ll ever see anyone put on such a show, Imo last years headliners will never be topped

Watched Radiohead's set from 2009. Their performance at Leeds is still one of the best I've ever seen. Wasn't even a fan beforehand, didn't think their music was really my thing, but thought I'd give them a watch anyway as they were a big name that I could say I've seen.

Hooked on their music within a couple of weeks of seeing them.

Coldplay as a headliner is something I never thought I’d see at R&L, but if it’s true I’m all for it, I’m sure they’d be a prefect closer on a Sunday up against Dua Lipa it Dave or someone

Coldplay would headline outright. Love to see it though

See I’m not sure they would, it’s the perfect opportunity for Fr to try new things, so bringing in Coldplay up against someone who’s bound to go down well is a good idea. On their own many people would go elsewhere I think

    • Deftones, Blink, Muse?   Deftones as the next bump up makes all the sense, Blink as the "band that has never played before" and round out with Muse as its been a long time since they headlined and they have a new album coming which seems on the heavier side from the singles so far.   I could see Muse do their own tour to be fair, maybe MCR in their place? Could also see Deftones switched out for Slipknot/SOAD depending on who is about.
    • I have no issue with the Primavera crowd in most respects. They’re always friendly, respectful and no hint that there could be trouble at any point.   However…the talking is horrific here. The xx was pretty much ruined for me due to people having conversations with their mates the whole way through. Noticed it from all different nationalities across the weekend…English, Irish, Spanish etc. There seems to be no understanding of the nuances of when it’s okay to talk and when it isn’t. And obviously the sound being quiet at a lot of spots on the main stages exacerbates the issue. That alone has made me reconsider whether I will be coming back, it would probably take a lineup as good as this year (unlikely)

    • I found the vibe a little different to recent editions.. definitely an older crowd, less queer, less Spanish.. certainly has something to do with the lack of Glastonbury this year. And I felt Saturday was a little overcrowded. I‘ve never seen Mordor as full as last night for the xx and Gorillaz. Did not enjoy that too much.
    • Not my favourite year either, despite liking the lineup more than previous years. Not sure what it was, I guess Thursday really put the brakes on things. But yeah I'll be back next year hopefully. And maybe Massive Attack will return...
