Any news on new music?

It's all done, recorded in Paris with Philippe Zdar. I bet we get a sudden single release soon.

Here's some snippets from the studio:

Mates didn’t get near Bristol tickets, got mine in the presale luckily.

Haven’t had to buy tickets for anything that’s been an instant sellout for a while, tickets getting hoovered up by bots is incredibly frustrating

I would recommend people to keep trying - I refreshed on about four or five tabs from 9am and got nothing until just now when I bought two for London! Delighted.

Brutal ticket process, though. Just kept saying "no tickets available" and very occasionally put me into a queue. Was just about giving up hope.

What a gig this is going to be!

Cheers mate ?

I heard one that Alexis played on his piano tour. He said it was a new Hot Chip tune.

It will be suitably rammed.

A piece of VU advice, if you haven't been before. The venue is long and thin with the entrance and bar all to one side. Walk along the back of the room and head down the far wall and you can weave your way to the front Glasto-style. Coming in from the side is always congested.

See you there ....

Cheers for the advice, but I have been a few times. One of my favourite venues actually. We were there for Underworld in December, which was rammed, but we had fun even being right at the back. Atmosphere was great there. Good tip though!

I prefer it at the back. Always feel guilty if some short arses can't see due to me being stood in front of them. Plus there is more room at the back to bust my moves.

People overestimate the influence of bots on gigs like this (and many gigs tbh). It's just pure demand for a small venue.

Just looked and there's only four tickets on Viagogo.

Fuck viagogo.  £165 per ticket on there now and I couldn't book for my mates this morning.

Yes I like a bit of room to move!

This was kind of my point, in a bit of a roundabout way. VU will be rammed, but front - leftish, bizarrely, often has the most room to move.

That's if the person even bought any tickets, is just listing non-existent tickets with a huge mark-up and planning on sourcing off Twickets, etc, closer to the time if they sell any.

    • They are going to have Blink 182 for sure, early June upto around Werchter weekend I'd say for them. Two of Sweden Rock,  Greenfield and RFP are going to miss out.
    • I've come across a few this weekend saying Deftones aren't big enough for Download.   I would recommend b&b hotel hbf the night before....cheap, comfortable and very decent. Within 10 minutes from the station and a tram stop outside to jump on...all travel is free during the festival time as well with a kombi. Lidl is very good and cheap I can't lie....€6 for a chair with carey handle, €20 with a bag too...you can work that out yourself.   If you camp, get up at 5am and go to the queue....literally don't question it as now I know.     The travel wise part is easy when you get the hang of it and I've never had an easier exit from a festival today tbh. We were camped in the turn left section but past the registration and to get water you have to come right out.   Opening up an exit through he camp at least by Friday morning when everyobe is there would be much better but you csnt walk through general if you're green and sonon.   I think the issue for me probably too is I have never taken like a mutliple litre water too, I've always done a 6 pack water from like poundland lol but you definitely need it. I had one shower that was cold lol   Talking of getting into the front, Volbeat was the only easy one, for Maiden and especially Linkin Park if you weren't in the queue for it by at least the last quarter ot Architects you had no hope....it was shocking. I do like orbit to sit down. I had to decide to sack off Within Temptation too or no chance.   Second stage biggest gripe is the faff of walking all the way round when VIP or whatever it is literally get access to each bit. I did read tbh before going people though RIP/Ring was turning too much the wrong way.   Also as a side note, caught some of Limp Bizkit last night too and they are not headliner but any distance at all. Yes they pull a crowd...they would do with LP finished but on the grand scale its a super weak booking. Stop, start for video recordings all the way through a headline set?, 1hr 15 minutes and you can't play for that time. I'm so glad they were not chosen to headline main.   On another thing, if RIP played it right they'll get GC and Avril to sub/second stage headline on the Blink day.   Toilets and cleanliness is a big plus I will say that.
    • Any of the likes of Keo, Basht. and Cardinals could all fit in here.  Although they’re the sort of bands that could fit many of the stages at Glastonbury
    • Glasto loves a come back act - how about the Rapture?
    • Yeah mentioned in the park thread but feel more Woodsies to me
