I don’t think there’ll be any more act announcements till the government gives an all clear.

If it does get cancelled, when do people think they’ll announce it?

I've gone from not even thinking twice about it... to maybe I'll get a Friday ticket... to if this is on there is no chance I am not going.

I'm in the same boat. I'm fairly ambivalent to the Friday and Saturday lineup at the moment, but will probably get a weekend ticket if this manages to go ahead.

Think that's going to be the attitude of a lot of people.  Lot's of people going to other cancelled festivals will fall back on it if it goes ahead too...

Only way of getting my ticket this year  is through the ambassador scheme and this situation has deffo fucked that over because no ones buying tickets atm ffs. Was only a couple tickets away, hopefully we get the all clear so I can at least be safe in the knowledge that if it does go ahead I acc have a ticket.

Think you are right unfortunately, the risk to put it on would be way to high even if the worst of it is over by end of June. 
 

Certainly it could start a second wave if it was allowed to go forward

I'm surprised people still thinking this will go ahead. No chance of mass gatherings for a long time. Sport may resume by August but this will be behind closed doors.

Very little chance of bands travelling either.

Yeah to be clear in my post, I don’t think the festival will go ahead at all was just making a point how annoyingly close I was to securing a ticket (not that it matters now tbf)

The first 2 Leeds festivals were held on the Monday(2000 + 2001), can not see that being an issue.

Probably wouldn’t be allowed to have proper music on the Thursday or Monday at Reading as it’s basically in the middle of the town. No way would they be able to. Leeds probably yeah, would seem a bit pointless to do it at one site though

How closely do we think the lineup will be replicated? Surely they can't justify a 3rd down Capaldi in 2021? Will RATM be rebooked with that undercard, if at all? So many questions....

It will be completely different. If the event is cancelled. It’s cancelled. Fresh slate in 2021

Festivals next year are going to be so hard to predict. Probably won’t have a clue how much of this years will be booked again for most festivals as you’d think they’d attempt to book quite a few again

Controversial opinion (dont attack me!) but I think more reading goers in 2021 would care about a band like Catfish and the Bottlemen than RATM. Wish it weren't true, but it's just how it is with Reading these days. 

Really hope RATM do Download, paired with one of this year's headliners and either Rammstein/Green Day who will probably cancel their stadium tours.

I reckon Green Day will just do the rearranged Hella Mega dates, although it'd be a huge get for Download if they can convince the three of them to top the bill one day.

Even if Hella Mega is rearranged I reckon it’ll be earlier than this year, could still Green Day at Reading. Maybe even a top 3 of Weezer into FOB into Green Day
