2004 was the only time I heard of that actually happening.

I'm pretty sure it's on record that Muse picked Foals and The Stones requested Primal Scream. Also widely assumed that The Who did similar for Weller, seeing as he also cancelled a date to play, while we heard alt-J were subbing a few months before that.

Sorry for the off topic post, but does anyone know where the 2019 Possibilities (Non-Headliner) thread has gone? Wanted to post in it but can't find it, has it been deleted?

Was looking for that this morning, it was started by that absolute twerp Battleborn so was thinking maybe he removed it after his so called attention-seeking retirement from efests a week or so back.

When someone leaves, don't all their thread go too? @eFestivals?

I thought that and searched for his account and it's still there, though.

Edit: Unless his account has just been blocked or something and that's caused his threads to disappear.

when kasabian subbed the Boss weren’t they pitched as ‘his special guests’ or something like that?

as special guests they were not not Bruce's....this has been mentioned so many times on here and as I've always said i doubt Bruce or anyone in his band had ever heard of Kasabian before that day...

Reckon Weezer being announced for the Friday at Wertcher basically rules them out unfortunately

Think somebody pointed out that they often do three dates in a row so they're still in the running. Would be pretty shite if they didn't play with that London date so perfectly lined up.

Just assumed they'd be playing 3rd on Pyramid and they wouldn't be doing the pop slot on Sunday.

    • Pretty sure at the stage we can expect the charge for Man City will be a 10 point deduction for..... Everton
    • Ah those were the days....! When you could go to the festival and nearly drown.
    • It's only the last few years that the festival have started calling it the Legend Slot.  For most of its existence it's been the Teatime Slot, with the idea it was the sort of music that Jean Eavis liked to listen to whilst having tea on a Sunday afternoon i.e. MOR, Radio 2, borderline easy listening sort of music.  Hence bookings like Shirley Bassey, Neil Diamond, Tom Jones, etc.  There's mibbe some overlap there with classic radio rock and of course the boundaries are all pretty fuzzy now, but it's generally not a rock slot.
    • I've never had any issues. Remember watching some Tour De France stages on phones in the past. Maybe at the festival sight it could be a problem, but I think people are spread out enough on camping.    Maybe it will be different this year with only teenage girls coming to see The Cure, David Byrne and Napalm Death 😅
    • They'll surely put AdP on Woods. They are aware of the off the scale level of hype.
