Goat Girl have confirmed in a recent interview, seen them a couple times, very good!

ooo brill. You got a link to the interview? I've heard the songs they have online and liked them but haven't got around to seeing them yet. Tho that won't be long as they're popping up everywhere.

Saw them support Yak last year and they sounded really cool so will try and make sure I catch them again. Where we thinking? JP? Park? Williams Green?

To the hip, hip hop, and you don't stop, a rock it
To the bang bang boogie, say, up jump the boogie,
To the rhythm of the boogie, the beat

I saw Goat Girl support Parquet Courts in October, thought they were OK but all their songs seemed to follow the same formula and didn't really go anywhere. A bit meh.

One of the first acts on JP or Park sounds right to me.

http://soyoungmagazine.com/ on page 8, they've just got the couple of songs online but well worth checking out clashes permitting

Feel like Goat Girl will have supported everyone soon, missed them supporting Parquet Courts, saw them supporting Girl Band, missed the Lemon Twigs they supported at, they're supporting Moonlandingz on their upcoming tour and there's been other mentions. I thought they were decent anyway.

You were at girl band in Manchester?

If goat girl play I think they'll be a shout for the crowd nest as well

I was, hell of a night. Especially since they bailed the year before. Were you? New stuff sounded great.

Apparently the bookers love it when Michael gives them a band to put the stage they've thought long and hard about the line-up for.

 That's amazing. Can't imagine it being as bad as a grandad suggesting a turn he's seen at the local working mens club though.

I can't help but thinking there something cynical/potentially sarcastic about his constant mentioning of it

It is a little odd how he keeps tweeting practically the same thing every week.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
