Hey Ben!!! :)

I Didn't go last year due to early baby issues (first daughter born 8 weeks early. Thankfully, after 91 days in hospital, including 2 emergency ops, she is doing well. Another op in a fortnight, but all planned and non panic'y. This years latitude will be her first! But i digress...), but i hear it was a classic year, despite the headliners being about as inspiring as a turd in a pint. Thats why, whilst its a bit rubbish if the headliners are naff, it does not matter one iota. There is ALWAYS something to watch/do/see etc.

BUT....2015 was a blast. I think there is more dance-y stuff late at night, especially in the sunrise arena (someone else will have to confirm, im too old for that. My knees hurt thinking about doing a groove....) Also, ive never been to glasto, so cant compare. But, anecdotally, i believe its comparable. What you lose in the amount of things to do, you gain in the distance between the things to do at the 'tude. No 45-minute trek between arenas etc.

Crikey, moz, that's a stormy course for a 32-weeker :o. Glad things are now more settled and great that she's going to her first Latitude. I took Child 1 to his first festival in 2013 and am now repeating for Child 3, so all good. Child 1 will be at Glastonbury this year as one of his four or five festivals (little git), but I shall try to avoid him!

I can confirm the nightlife is still w*nk @bennyhana22

Oh Man! Are you going this year, Tuna? Maybe we can seek out the least bad stuff?!! Saw Lone there one year I'm sure and that was decent enough. I have had good nights there, it's just that, as said, after Glastonbury, you're always going to pine for stuff a bit...

Looks more like an advert for one of their own Gentlemen of the Road stopovers they do, but yeah what with Neils info seems like we've got two.

Yeah I was thinking that; maybe they've curated the main stage for the day they're headlining

funnily enough, i don't think that's impossible - because in the last hour the gentlemen of the road website has been updated (tho I can't see what's changed) for the first time this year.

It's very normal for there to be a bit of website activity in the day or two before an announcement, and with Latitude announcing tomorrow and supposedly with Mumfarts, the two have got to be connected.

This tab here is the update I suspect: http://www.gentlemenoftheroad.com/news/coming-tomorrow/

Which is that exact video clip alone on the page, so I reckon there could be something to finn's theory... or does the Gentlemen of the Road website announce news that just applies to Mumford alone as well??

Other than 1975 and Mumford who else do we reckon will play, headliner or not...

JAMC nailed on for a 6music slot I reckon. Want to see Sampha and Kaytranada, they're both at lovebox so could appear over the weekend.

Nah... don't see myself ever going for the weekend again. Went in 12, 13, and for Portishead in 15, and think my time has passed. If I were going to a mid-size fest I'd like to visit one I haven't before: EotR, Green Man, etc., unless the lineup was a knockout (see 2013).

So The 1975 (Fri) , Mumfords (Sat) and I'm going for Fleet Foxes (Sun) as they are in Ireland on the Friday.

1975 - Friday

??? (A bit older, critically respected kinda act) - Saturday

Mumfords - Sunday

Fleet Foxes not headline size imo, could see them subbing Sat/Sun though

Lana Del Rey subbing 1975 or co-headlining? would be strong and another reason for upped capacity along with Mumford and sons.

then maybe somebody bigger that nobody has thought of due to underestimating the size of the headliners etc.

the underestimating bit you mention is what I'm hoping for, last year I only watched the maccabees, better headliners would be great and there has to be a reason for more capacity!
