Just turned on my festival phone and the text came through at 11:48. Direct SMS from Twitter on 3.

anyone not get it? once we have enough people needing another test run, ill do it, ideally dont want to do too many before the fest. Will be another this week and 1 next atleast

Mine worked ok. I'm on o2 - worked with the twitter notification. Must admit that I edited my IFTTT recipe after reading @stuartbert two hats posts and it worked fine as well.

 

Rather have it twice than not once

Ive booked Friday off work to do this so coverage will be patchy on Weds/Thurs but should be on top of things when the main acts are on the site.

Think I've set mine up correctly now after husband failed last time. So when you are ready I would love another test being sent out

I got the text earlier, I was quite confused to be honest (I'd forgotten I'd signed up).   Then when I realised what it was it really made me smile.   Thanks for the help setting it up.

Thanks @stuartbert two hats - have set that up now.  I had notifications enabled on Secret Glasto account but nothing came through yesterday - I'm on Vodafone so I don't know if that's why not.  Fingers crossed this will work for me now.

Oh dear. Just looking at IFTTT and I find that users outside of North America are limited to 10 SMSs per month:

The SMS Channel has monthly message limits of 100 SMS messages per calendar month for users in U.S and Canada, and 10 SMS messages per month for users outside of North America. You will receive an email alert when you are close to reaching your monthly SMS limit. 

When IFTTT’s monthly limit of 100 SMS messages has been reached, your Personal Recipes that send SMS will be paused. These Recipes will resume again on the first day of the next calendar month.

Anyone got any ideas for getting around this, or any alternative way of turning tweets to SMSs?

Actually I think you can do it directly from Twitter, you just need to register your mobile with your Twitter account, then go into Settings/Mobile.
