The Thingy says the full lineup has never come out on a Saturday.

There's a first time for everything hopefully.

I'm liking your Pratchett-esque logic there.  The thingy tells us that patterns are non-existent, so any pattern that exists MUST be broken in order to keep the universe running right.

it's always a dilemma, I want to eat it all. Tend to go for dansak or biryani the most.

It's a bit tough for decent curry houses in Bristol, tho ... or  at least that's what my black-country trained assistant tells me, anyway.

(the place I'll be at is plenty decent enough in my eyes).

Trust him, he'll know about decent curry :D boing boing

Ah come on, we're running out of April now. That's a nice thought actually, come next Sunday we'll be able to say the festival is next month :drinks:

Ooooo I like that thought! Having had to obtain my ticket in in the resales for the first time, all Glasto excitment / planning has had to happen in in a much more condensed way this year. It's all happening very quickly, which is kinda awesome!

I'm kinda jealous in a way. While it was such a relief to get tickets in the initial sale (cheers, sister), this build up has felt longer than usual... To be honest I can't even remember what the rule of thumb is for full line ups being out. I'm just obsessed...

It's definitely a longer build up from the general sale, but I do quite like that in a way. Much more preferable to the persistent worry of 'what if I actually miss out on tickets in the resale and can't go'. Hideous.

Got incredibly drunk last night and for some reason woke up thinking the line up had been revealed last night. I'm furious.

How drunk exactly?

1. Tramp drunk

2. Heroically drunk

3. Oliver Reed

    • Pressure will be shifted to Israel, but don't think anything is going to happen this side of the election.
    • It's encouraging news, but Israel's withdrawal from Gaza will very much depend on how credible Hamas's commitment to completely disarm is.   In my view they are right to be skeptical.
    • Now we’ll see if Israel are actually capable of winding their necks in    I doubt it
    • Policing is very relaxed, provided you stay within your lines I'd say. I don't think we're supposed to have an event shelter as well as a tent next to our van, but we've done it without issue for years. It's a happy vibe up there.
    • Do feel a lot more cynical about the Mercury now. Given the awards show is now an arena event, there's clearly a pressure on them to nominate mainstream acts in order to sell tickets for it. And not saying that Jade and Knats don't deserve to be nominated (haven't listened to either), but the fact the event is in Newcastle can't have nothing to do with that... (not to mention Fender winning last year, which frankly was a joke)    Hard not to agree with this: https://www.clashmusic.com/features/this-years-mercury-prize-is-a-pivot-towards-the-mainstream/
