he's definitely been that confident about it in the past, although it always raises my spirits to see it written it out like that again :P

I lean towards it being correct, but "confident" is probably over-stating it.

However, I remember I had my doubts about the info the same guy provided the year Radiohead played their 'secret' set on the Park Stage, and my doubts were unfounded.

I think this is likely to be the same, but I don't know either way for certain until they're announced or they walk out onto a stage.

Did this guy tell you explicitly that Radiohead were playing the Park stage that year? Or did he just say they were playing?

Is it 100% New Order as other headliner? For me to split the crowd, New Order wouldn't draw enough away. If (god willing) Radiohead are playing, they have to be Other headliner? No?

I believe they are from info that's come my way from a few different directions - so with more confidence than I have for stuff on the line-up page that's only marked as an SR - but like all these things I only know with certainty when they're officially announced.

Only worry I have, is what I think you may have mentioned before, that it may have changed in that time (because he's said no more).

It's always possible that things have changed, but I think (I'm guessing, but from snippets said over the years) that the reason he's not been able to provide updated info is because his own source goes off round the world doing whatever it is that he does.

I can't remember.

About the only thing I can remember is that he'd told me they'd be playing but on the day of the secret set I was far from certain that Radiohead would be the band - I can remember writing a text or a tweet or something where I was careful to not say I was absolutely certain it was them but that I thought it was.

So I remember I had my doubts about it, but I shouldn't have had.

Which is why I keep flagging up now that I think it's more-likely true than wrong for this year.

I don't know if you intended it that way or not, but that reads as hilariously cryptic!

Radiohead will be on the line up poster...

I feel the only thing left at that point is for fans of Radiohead to moan about why they should be headlining rather than Adele or the other two headliners.

Basically nothing is going to change, Radiohead fans will still be bitter.

I'll be over the moon if Radiohead play in any capacity. I'm not greedy. I'll be too busy listening to Myxomatosis and doing my Thom Yorke dance to feel bitter :P

Radiohead gets put on the poster
Cue. Where are they playing
Why aren't they playing here
Clashes
Set lists.
Then new album hype/disapointment/not understanding
'best album ever'
set lists including new album

This thread is not dead yet.

it could double in size easily between now and end of june!

but they won't be on the poster so it most likely wont. Im with neil in that i reckon they will be there in some capacity but i really, really don't see them being announced with the first poster. its going to be one that just runs and runs until the running order for every stage comes out and people scrutinize every name of every act to see which secret name they're performing under!!

It'll be an easy sub position before headliner decisiom to make that's for sure.

Are you trying to tell us you've seen the poster?

I haven't seen a poster however (I did mention this in the headliner thread a while back) a friend of mine claims he has.

He said Muse and Coldplay were on it and was right although I had reservations as they were very heavily rumoured anyway.

He also said Adele's name was on it and whilst this was a long while ago again it's hard not to have reservations due to how heavily it was rumoured.

But he loves the festival as much as we all do and as an "older" gentleman I don't think he'd be lying to get bites out of people on an internet forum so I'm more inclined to believe him than to not.

He has said that Radiohead are on the poster which he has seen.

He's also given other names & gone as far as saying the running order but to me that doesn't add up as the first poster doesn't have that on.

    • To be fair @Superscally barely mentions the running thing. Very quiet about it 😘
    • I guess we'll just have to wait until videos of the shows go up, but the fact that the standing is also greyed out still suggests to me that those sections just sold out out before the others and a blue block just be like 3 tickets left, it's still not concrete proof they never went on sale and if they were never on sale why would they not make it even, if 414 wasn't on sale then you'd think 409 wouldn't be either
    • Selfish, but I've done the 2 days I'm there.. i'll try to do the rest through the day but might get beaten to it as it's editable....    https://clashfinder.com/s/ape2026/
    • I don’t think the festival automatically ‘need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend.   One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a ‘safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if Beyoncé is really planning to release a ‘rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to ‘kick off’ that campaign for her.   And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
    • And all (or all but one) of the secret sets repeats though?
