I've just read back on joey's and other posts, and yep, 2 & 3 are from the same place, where it was told to me with far less certainty than joey is giving it.

Yeah it isn't that certain. But there's a glimmer of hope in it. And it's the hope that kills you all isn't it

i think its going to be after balances like last year. week commencing 11th April.

the headliners are out now so there is no need for them to rush it. not really bothered how long it takes them to get the poster out as i can never really get excited till the full line up i.e days, stages, orders which won't be until May. full line up always has loads of gems that arent on the initial poster.

plus the initial poster lacks any kind of context about who is on where and when apart from those which can be inferred which is just frustrating

Yes, but the poster will say RADIOHEAD and that is all I need.

Yes. but the poster will say RADIOHEAD and that is all I need....or I'll feel so let down. Their confirmation will put everything in its right place, like a jigsaw falling into place, and there'll be no surprises from there on. We can all stop climbing up the walls and being in limbo and I will go to sleep feeling a very lucky man. of course if this all turns out to be a (nice dream) I can't promise that I won't sulk

Nailed on that the poster is going to come with a 'SPECIAL GUESTS' slot and we're going to be left none the wiser...

yeah, even if Radiohead are playing i'd find it very weird that they'd be on the initial poster - think it's far more likely they'd be 'Special Guests' at first and then possibly revealed as some kind of fourth headliner at a later date and added to the poster then

MUSE
ADELE
COLDPLAY
FOALS
RADIOHEAD
ELLIE GOULDING

how fucking weird do Radiohead look there between the other two subs!?

We would be wiser though - if they have put that on the poster despite having announced all the headliners already it means something big is happening, which would obviously be Radiohead. Whereas it'd all still be up in the air if there was no Radiohead nor SPECIAL GUESTS there. That's how I think it's gonna go down - this thing won't be resolved that easily. This will be the year's saga.

Special guests would mean special guests. There was special guests on the 2015 poster and the 2014 poster, and Radiohead or not there'll be special guests on this one too. Could be Radiohead, but could easily not be.

Special Guests was on the poster to signify a headliner yet to be announced as they had the past two years, but don't have this year.

Yeah but every final line up (by stage etc) has had special guests either way. I can't see a massive indication it'll be Radiohead necessarily....

Of course it will. If it's plum in the middle of the poster among all the big names then it's gonna be covering for a big name that'll be revealed on the final poster that they have on all the t-shirts and stuff, rather than the special guests at Bez's Acid House.

We'd be a little closer to knowing, but still wouldn't know, if they were playing or not. There'd be much gnashing of teeth on here. Hard to see why they'd be kept back from the announcement any more than any other big act. No tickets to sell, no exclusive deal to break.

Given FF's pointing out of how odd they might look listed with the subs, could see them being named and labelled as "Special Guests" (or of course, more likely, not being named at all and not playing - but let's not think that way yet).

    • Yeh, the quiet camping also seems to be on the same side (broadly) as the bits of the festival that go on the latest (Far Out / Chai Waalahs / RTT until 4am). We're always in Tangerine Fields which is right behind the main stage and as soon as that and Rising Stage are done it's pretty quiet (midnight onwards) which I'd guess is pretty similar if you can hack taking all your gear from the car past the big tree in the middle and into the campsites that side.
    • Can't see Bimble line up anywhere - am I being dense and missing an obvious release somewhere?
    • Not expecting a tour imminently but Peter Gabriel would fit the vibes magnificently.
    • I have but a very long time ago and can remember nothing about it at all. Which I suppose is a review of sorts
    • Addison Rae has 33m instagram followers, Slayyyter 667k. Also 15 to 7,5 million spotify listeners with Addison's last release being more than a year ago. Obviously these metrics aren't everything, but still there is a big gap in popularity between the two.
