Anyone still moaning about RH playing but not headlining - there's this really cool thing you can do and it actually works! What you do is: you don't bother seeing them! You sit in your tent whilst they play moaning to yourself about how rubbish it is that Adele/MusePlay are higher on the bill! It really is astonishing, groundbreaking groundbreaking initiative!

I really really do get it, but what is the point in moaning? You've got ur 3 headliners and now you hope for the second best scenario which is RH playing elsewhere over the weekend. It's still the same band? It's not as if half of them ain't turning up just because they aren't headlining Pyramid?

What's the point of discussing anything?! Let's just go to the festival, leave this forum to rot and not discuss the things we're happy about and not so happy about. BTW, any fan would be happy to see Radiohead obviously, but it would definitely be tempered for a lot of us too. 

Radiohead played the Park Stage gig which a fair few of us went to, many will have gone to their arena gigs over the years which as I said aren't as difficult to get tickets for as the Roundhouse. 

The one thing we've been waiting for ages is Radiohead headlining the Pyramid as many didn't go to the first two times, and there's a fair assumption that Radiohead playing second down this time would probably significantly reduce the chance of them playing next year. 

The setlist will be only just over half, the sound probably won't be optimal, the atmosphere down the front will be nothing like if Radiohead were headlining...there are clear, clear differences. People would still drop everything and go, but it would probably feel a bit flat compared to most other times you could see them.

It all comes down to a simple question really, would you rather see Radiohead headline Glastonbury in 2017 or be on another stage/sub this year? I'd personally much prefer waiting until next year for a longer set, that comes with more advantages, and while that may just be because i'm not going this year, you can't disagree that a headline spot would be much better.

I think the idea is 'if they don't play at all this year, they will headline next year'. But there are two problems with that: 

1. There's no guarantee Radiohead will headline next year
2. There's no guarantee you'll get tickets if they do headline

It was suggested last summer that the headliners for the next two years were already penciled in. That makes me think Radiohead are not being lined up to headline next year, just as they weren't in the discussion this year. Assuming their album comes out within the next few months, why would you wait to book Radiohead as a headliner until the second year of their album tour? If they were to headline the festival, this year would make infinitely more sense than next, yet clearly they aren't headlining next year.

At the end of the day, I'm a huge fan and I appreciate that seeing Radiohead is a rare and special thing. If I had the choice between them playing a sub headline slot this year, and maaaaaybe headlining next, I'd take the sub headline slot all day long. We've all been waiting years for them to play the Pyramid stage again, and I'll have the biggest grin on my face if they get announced this year.

what I'm sorry have they released the 2017 line up? are RH pencilled in to headline next year? Be careful what you wish for and enjoy what you've got.

"Be careful what you wish for" doesn't really apply here. 

Radiohead aren't pencilled in for next year, they may well not have played anyway. That said, them playing this year will make that a lot less likely which is a legitimate reason why people might feel some disappointment. I will enjoy their gig I'm sure, but it's a shame it won't be a patch on 99% of other sets you'd see them play.

I'm not saying I don't want them to sub. I would prefer them to play than not play. 

But even that's a weird thing to say about my favourite band, as usually I'd be absolutely overjoyed about them playing Glastonbury or indeed any festival. And it's the idea that it goes a long way to ruling them out for headlining any time soon, given how long they take to make an album and the significantly reduced chance of them headlining next year.

Not really. There's a difference between saying the slot they've been given will nowhere near do them justice, that it's been far too long since they've done a proper headline set and complaining that this will make that less likely anytime soon....to saying I outright don't want them to play.

it say 10 to 15 days on their FAQ but someone on the reviews for In Rainbows said it only took 6 days

i'm hoping the 10 to 15 days is a case of expect the worst and you won't be disappointed as I want my record now

I ordered one earlier this month on the Saturday and it arrived the following Friday. Really impressed.
