i don't see her as a headliner at all, but i'd take Janet appearing at the festival in any slot in a heartbeat. so. many. bangers.

fortunately we can put that horrible rumour/nightmare to rest as my in-box from Live Nation just announced her 2 nights here in the NY market over Glasto weekend.

For me Underworld are on the same list as James for being woefully underbooked at Glastonbury. We have an explanation of sorts with James (high fee), but do we have any idea why Underworld hasn't played recently? 2013 would have been the obvious year, after their Olympics triumph.

I'd love to see them at the big G again.

Omar Soulyman

Still annoyed at the Ministry of Truth erasing him from the Latitude line-up this year without as much as a "sorry, lads". One moment he was there, the next he was gone.

Yeah I agree it's a weird one. Was really expecting them to do dubno this year too.

Anyway they're going on my wish list.

A friend told me Local Natives' 3rd album will be out next year but I haven't seen anything that suggests this online! Anyways, would love them to show up. Great band

was wondering what the hell they'd been up to. loved Hummingbird but i'm hoping the new'un is a bit more upbeat and closer in sound to Gorilla Manor. and yeah, get em booked

    • Yeah I did spot that AXS had more available for the O2 shows Muse are doing, though I think that comes with the territory of AXS now being the venue's primary ticket selling platform.    My instinct remains they'll probably still play to a big crowd on the night - sales were similarly slow in 2023 but videos of those gigs showed the venue looking pretty much full. Equally it probably would be sold out if the pricing was even just slightly less ridiculous. Shave up to £50 off some of these categories and I think that would've got people to go with it.
    • Some are definitely already there with that and with another round of inflation looking like it's on the way, it certainly locks that in. And I say that as someone who also isn't willing to break the £100 marker.
    • A lot of people have said this online but does the Marvel world need new cities to play with? New York seems to be a target of all the villains to the point where you wonder why anyone in that world still lives there. Much as you can accuse me of overthinking it I guess haha.    I do agree that The Void is a compellingly different villain in many respects given the superpower is trapping people in their most traumatic memories. Shame in some respects the film came out in the post-Endgame funk Marvel seems stuck in and a lot of people missed out on it.    Speaking of, I rewatched Infinity War the other day. First time I think I've seen it since seeing it in the cinema on its opening day. Holds up pretty well imo - I have issues sometimes with ensemble casts and jumping between 4/5 storylines but it felt this one got the balance right and also properly explored Thanos. So it was good.
    • I didn't think I'd ever watched a Coben adaptation or read one of the original books, though turns out I did - I watched one called The Stranger back in 2020. Clearly didn't stick long in my memory as until researching it, I didn't know that was one of his. Queens Gambit or Black Mirror, it was not.    But clearly it's popular tripe in some respect if Netflix is going yes to everything he has to offer and are apparently about to start trying his most popular individual character, as seen below:   https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2026/jul/30/how-harlan-coben-became-the-king-of-potboiler-tv   Plus hey. Sometimes people get a kick from watching something and deriding it as crap. Don't let this internet rando stop you haha
