It's Florence

Just me who's happy then? I was slightly disappointed she wasn't booked as a headliner in the first place so I've got no qualms about her not being headline size.

Plus it reduces the Benjamin Booker/SvE vs RTJ vs Flo clash that was causing me to cry profusely.

Marvellous!

I am pretty happy myself. I had no Friday headliner plans, and I think she should have always been booked over The Who. Will be a bit sad if I miss Mark Ronson as he has got a few decent songs, and could be something special with the right guests. But then he could also be poo with a bunch of session singers singing his crap new album.

I think Flo will do ok. She has pretty much nailed it every time she has played Glastonbury, and her tunes are actually pretty damn big. There will be singalongs and jumping up and down a plenty. This could go from being an underwhelming move to being a real hit. As has been said before, Flo 'gets Glastonbury' and I think she will do both herself and the festival justice.

I'm happy too. No dave grohl on site will mean tent thefts will be down massively

She'll have the smallest crowd in a long time I reckon.

On par with Metallica, Gorillaz and Arcade Fire at a guess, and most recent Sunday headliners if it weren't for day tickets boosting their numbers.

Not as big as the Foos crowd mind, but definitely not small enough to cause issues elsewhere.

People are forgetting that Florence isn't some sort of diva, and chose to sub Glastonbury for a lot less money, rather than headlining TinP, V Festival, R&L, which I'm sure she could have done.

She's been asked to step up at short notice, she's accepted it. Simple as that.

You may not like her or her music, but she's extremely popular

I've got a friend at the BBC and have heard that the BBC have agreed to stream Today at Wimbledon onto the Pyramid Big Screen between 21:00 and 22:15.

Wimbledon doesn't start til the following week.

Maybe they'll show the football.  It is the Womens' World Cup quarter finals after all.

I can't see this crowd shift that all you lot seem to see.

- One of, if not the biggest Other Stage crowd since I've been going in 2010

- Catchy single played pretty much constantly on R1, therefore...

- Popular with the 'pop crowd', where as there was no headliner of this genre before

Also, people hang around the Pyramid like leeches. Anyone could headline and they'd be there, because it's the Pyramid. Won't be as small as Gorillaz or Metallica.

I think they'll bring in a popular sub too (Ronson or a replacement or something), rather than shifting Motorhead

    • It sounds like Feeder drew a crowd too big for that stage originally. Given the time period they haven’t appeared at Download as well it's a nostalgia thing. Halestorm vs Feeder wasn't the most ideal but leaving after either to get out would have been sweet at least.
    • You cant see everything unfortunately, it would be Halsey there for me 100%, the last 20/25 of Gorillaz. Halsey would be my non negotiable act on that day myself. Oddly Bleech 9:3 would actually give me an option I wouldn't mind between 3:15pm and Halsey. Dogstar would only likely be a 10 minutes thing of I've seen Keanu lol.
    • I think the tent was just right for Feeder, on that day anyway.   If you had a Biffy-esque day again, or someone of that ilk (maybe Pearl Jam for example), whack them on that main stage. 100%.    As it is, I think feeder will be back and probably high up the second stage or main stage next year or 2028.
    • I think we still have 2 acts to announce each day, maybe one more big name to complete the lineup?   Perhaps the big name is Turnstile on Thursday, which isn't sold out yet. And some other names that could be added like Iceage, Band of Horses or Tomora.
    • Saw David Gray 8 times between 2000 and 2025 (including one solo acoustic performance in Wexford, IE, 2017) and he always delivered. I enjoyed every show, never felt bland or let down an iota. To each their own. Yeah, it’s just that he’s not your cup of tea I’m afraid.   Agree that David is a bad dancer though lol.
