Florence was an act that a lot of us were predicting as a headliner from the get go - before last years festival had even finished even - so it's hard to really complain about her doing it, but Pharrell and especially Weller would be a bit/lot harder to sell in that slot

What about Paolo nutini for sub? I know he subbed other last year but he's touring at the minute would fit in nicely before Flo

This would make my year but I'm secretly pinning my hopes on him headlining next year and I don't want him to risk that by subbing this time.

It's quite lucky but assuring how EE said that Florence is a headliner in that NME interview now that she actually is headlining. Made the whole process slightly more justifiable.

To be fair, I can't wait to see what she does!! Lungs is a very very good album that I've listened to many many times!

Starting? Wasn't it on this thread where you pointed out why they were the most obvious choice?

 

It'll be Elbow. They need a new sub on the cheap and if they ever need a favour it's gonna be Elbow. Subbed two of the past three and the one in the middle had Garvey involved with Arctics' headline slot. Can't keep him away.

Ellie Goulding is also free on the Friday I think now I've decided there's the chance of it being her, Elbow will turn out to be fairly satisfactory by comparison, so my mind can rest easy. Excellent.

As we went through with Flo being moved up earlier; it really is too late in the day to expect quality bookings to just fall into their lap. Getting an actual sub-sized sub is something of a result actually all things considered. Boring I know but we've got the rest of the lineup now so not much reason to think too much about it as we know everything that's going on elsewhere.

I had a good old listen back through her albums last night and gotta say it's just made things more complicated for me

That second album has loads of great tracks, not sure I noticed as it was played so much on t'radio etc
