People saying her new album's great? It's pap and not a patch on the first and only marginally better than the abysmal second. She also CANNOT SING LIVE.

i can't stand the production on her new record but there's some good tunes there buried underneath it.

 

To be fair, i've seen her once and she was really good. But she's obviously only getting this push because she's one of these well-connected middle class white girls who gets all these opportunities by default. Talent is a secondary factor. As a society we have been conditioned to accept this.

The festivals a week away ! It's like people can't grasp this, out of all the acts on the lineup she is the obvious choice.

1, Sub headliner

2, hasn't played in 5 years

3, enough material for a headline set

4, new album which is brilliant

5, female headliner, which we are def due again

6, she absolutely adores glasto so she will give it her all.

She hasn't been handed anything, for all we know other bands not on the lineup have been asked and weren't available, for all we know she was the first option. Whatever has happened glasto had a major problem thrown at them a week, I will repeat, a week before the festival and they've sorted it. Will it please everyone, no, will that field be packed when she walks on stage, oh yes.

I can see that being the case at the very start but I don't think it's been all easy since then. If it was on a silver platter, then it wouldn't have come via a last minute replacement either!

You're right, white posh girls absolutely litter this lineup. I think I saw some posters with all the posh white girls deleted, to show that they get all the chances in music, and there were like, no posh white girls. AND the last solo female to headline was white and posh, right? In fact, I feel absolutely suffocated everyday because of how many posh white girls seem to have all the power in the UK. Actually, the world.
