We're back!

Speaker towers on the pyramid field going up

Hopefully the new other stage will have better sound quality, didn't think it was that good last year

Are there tiny people on the roof of the other stage?

Maybe I was standing too far away from it, may have been because of wind. It sounded awful during the 1975...or was that 2015?

Well that's because the 1975 were playing, duh.

I have to admit, I only saw a few bands there and I was always near the towers, so I didn't get any wind distortion.  It seems to have been a problem with that field for years, no matter what PA they use. I found it really well balanced for LCD, everything sounded really spot on.

I'm actually not sure what PA they use there, I thought it was a Martin Audio MLA like the Pyramid, but seems not to be:

The award-winning MLA technology could not only be found at Pyramid but also John Peel Stage, West Holts and Block9 complex, while conventional Martin Audio line arrays featured at The Park and Billy Bragg’s Left Field stages.

I can't believe how much the little trees have grown up in the last few years up behind the stone circle!

Love to see the Glastonbury font loud and clear on the Toilet sign..... so exciting!!!!

Yesterday I watched somebody's Glastonbury home video from a few years ago in which they spread the ashes of one of their friends on a sapling up there, it choked me up quite a bit.

Imagine the feeling of seeing that grow into a mighty tree at Glastonbury, going back to it every year, wow.

Seeing the 'Toilets' sign by the Pyramid urinals send a shudder of excitement through me.

I think I need help.

You think you're bad, but reading about you shudder with excitement made me shudder with excitement.  And to my knowledge, we've never even met.

    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
    • 6music just shared a video of all of Fontaines DC singing along to the Cure last night. It'll be them. Booooo    Olivia might get up for I Love You though...
