Paging @Wickedfaerie

I'm here! Sorry I'm late! Our video camera overheated a few years ago when we had it running constantly - it literally broke down on the Wednesday when everyone arrived! So I'm sorry, we haven't managed to stream a video since then, but after that the festival put up better webcams. Lovely that people remembered it though - I'm glad it was appreciated :)

I would think that between the rabid viewers on this site we could fund a new one via a contribution site.

Where will the pier be on this pic? Just to the left?

dont think we are exactly sure ... but out of this shot to the left I think

Starting to think we may have been pranked by the Pier location on the map and that it is being built somewhere else out of sight of the webcam!  Seemed odd on the map it was in the most popular campsite, and building it in 8 weeks seems quite a task.

This would make more sense to me than the proposed location.... although the place they put it on the map is obscured by trees, I don't think they could build it there without us noticing.

I'd imagine it's being mostly built off site or in the newish barn on site, they'll then bring big sections to where it's going to be build and assemble them with a crane, rather than building and fabricating the whole thing in the fields.

Your zoomable panoramas, were they taken with the same camera and also toast, or will they be forthcoming over the next couple of months?

    • 2 really good albums IMO. Fun, really good musicians, energetic, can dance to it.    I'd take that over the couple of dozen twee ernest singer songwriter 2 chord dross acts on the bill most years.
    • They will have strictly 14 days to comply, at the end of which they will strictly have another 14 days to comply.
    • Bonobo has a new album out in September.  Touring the US the end of this year, so hopefully UK dates and festivals in 2027.  Would make a superb Park headliner.
    • I was following up to pink_triangle's post about what Reform are saying they will do to find money for defence spending.   But with Labour, they may well water down or delay some of the net zero commitments, they may find ways to cut welfare spending with Pat McFadden's welfare review thing, but I don't think it's going to be near enough. They really tied themselves down with the tax commitments in their manifesto, just reversing Hunt's NI cuts would have gone a long way. Under Burnham I think they may try and reform some of the tax system, land taxes and levies etc. Certainly needs reforming. But that might all be after a general election if Labour were to win.  I reckon they will try and do something with fiscal rules to borrow more, and try and persuade markets to go along with them.  (and he's already rowed back on that waspi thing...I think his team and others in Labour had a word).
