I'm sure Arcadia was up or going up this time time last year.

I was thinking that it looks like progress has slowed down slightly after the initial drive to get things up, but I can't really remember last year.

EDIT:
This is today from last year, so it's relatively similar (https://panodata3.panomax.com/cams/879/2016/06/05/12-10-00_default.jpg)12-10-00_default.jpg

We should take this as a wonderful omen:

In the pic above from today in 2016 it looks beautiful - and we know how 2016 turned out!

Today it looks miserable, so surely it will be glorious for the entire festival!

It's looking grey (gray?) and dreary out there now. Hope the poor fuckers working on the build aren't getting too wet.

Its actually looking much better if you compare it to the last two days.

For all you experts who can glace at the webcam and immediately match the image up to a place on site, is the super secret Saxon market in shot?  And if so, does anything look unusual?

The place people were mainly expecting something to be is in shot and there's nothing there. The Saxon market area as a whole is very big though and covers pretty much any stall near the Other/Silver Hayes.

    • Yeah I did spot that AXS had more available for the O2 shows Muse are doing, though I think that comes with the territory of AXS now being the venue's primary ticket selling platform.    My instinct remains they'll probably still play to a big crowd on the night - sales were similarly slow in 2023 but videos of those gigs showed the venue looking pretty much full. Equally it probably would be sold out if the pricing was even just slightly less ridiculous. Shave up to £50 off some of these categories and I think that would've got people to go with it.
    • Some are definitely already there with that and with another round of inflation looking like it's on the way, it certainly locks that in. And I say that as someone who also isn't willing to break the £100 marker.
    • A lot of people have said this online but does the Marvel world need new cities to play with? New York seems to be a target of all the villains to the point where you wonder why anyone in that world still lives there. Much as you can accuse me of overthinking it I guess haha.    I do agree that The Void is a compellingly different villain in many respects given the superpower is trapping people in their most traumatic memories. Shame in some respects the film came out in the post-Endgame funk Marvel seems stuck in and a lot of people missed out on it.    Speaking of, I rewatched Infinity War the other day. First time I think I've seen it since seeing it in the cinema on its opening day. Holds up pretty well imo - I have issues sometimes with ensemble casts and jumping between 4/5 storylines but it felt this one got the balance right and also properly explored Thanos. So it was good.
    • I didn't think I'd ever watched a Coben adaptation or read one of the original books, though turns out I did - I watched one called The Stranger back in 2020. Clearly didn't stick long in my memory as until researching it, I didn't know that was one of his. Queens Gambit or Black Mirror, it was not.    But clearly it's popular tripe in some respect if Netflix is going yes to everything he has to offer and are apparently about to start trying his most popular individual character, as seen below:   https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2026/jul/30/how-harlan-coben-became-the-king-of-potboiler-tv   Plus hey. Sometimes people get a kick from watching something and deriding it as crap. Don't let this internet rando stop you haha
