I think ELO will be announced first, but I want to keep this on topic so I think the very rumoured, marginally unsettling Muse will be the first out of the box of headliners. Though their NME Award category (best fan community) is less important than Adele's and Coldplay's (best British female and best single respectively) plus their fan community is quite rank so I can't see it going down like Foos last Feb.

Can't see how that would make a difference, if Muse are headlining and they decide to give NME they job of announcing it at their awards again surely they'd figure out a way of doing it regardless of if Muse do win an award of any significance or not.

Nope.

I suspect that all three are now signed and sealed, but that would only be a guess.

My (rather basic) understanding is that one of the biggest factors behind when an announcement is made is if the act in question has tickets to sell for a tour or other events, or has other appearances yet to be announced which they want to sell tickets for. As Glastonbury is already sold out, there isn't really a 'need' to announce the performance until the tickets for the other stuff have sold out. As such, have Coldplay and Adele sold out their respective tours yet? Not sure if Muse have any other gigs in the pipeline, but the same question applies and might give us a clue as to when we might get an announcement. Same with ELO and the Sunday teatime slot.

The festival always want to keep the headliners under wraps as long as possible dont they? there is no reason at all for them to make any announcements as far as I can tell.

Adele has I'm pretty sure. If Coldplay haven't they're on their way towards doing so. I suspect Muse will have several other Euro festivals and possibly another UK one to announce, so going by your logic I'd say they'd be the last of the 3 to be announced. We'll have to wait and see

If it is to be Muse, Adele and Coldplay, I don't expect to hear anything until the first poster announcment
