Don't think so Russ?

I am envisaging at least 500,000 40-year-old mums at their computer screen on re-sale day if Adele is announced. Maybe I am being pessimistic :P

vs. 500,000 middle aged men desperately clinging to their failing youth if Stone Roses or Radiohead are announced.

Shit.  At the first glance of that Champagne glass, I thought PLEASE be taken at coachella, but there's no denying that the Tuborg cup can only mean one thing.....

Why isn't she just drinking from that bottle?!  Champagne glass!? F*** off.

Wait, have I misinterpreted something?

Yes, I don't think what you described sounded like either of these:

I think it is more someone who goes, not because they have any particular interest, but merely to say that they have seen a band, often wandering off having seen only a handful of songs.

I think by `box ticker` the guy meant the kind of people who will go to see these huge famous acts like adele not because they like them but just so they can go home and boast to friends etc that theyve `seen adele` or the like......ie not even being bothered about the act but just doing it so you can show off you were there.

Tick boxers - can't stand it.

Music is an emotional investment, the soundtrack to your life etc etc

Going to see someone just to say you've seen them, does my head in.

"I saw so and so at so and so" (what they don't tell you is it meant nothing to them).

Annoying.

I must be up to triple under lining, mega bolding  and  been through all the different colours of the rainbow when ticking off particular bands as I have seen them so many times. I go to gigs to enjoy myself. If I don't think that I am going to enjoy myself then I just would not bother regardless of how many highly thought of they are by others.

The site is quite clearly as dry as a bone, no need for Wellies to be on. Take your glass, your wellies, your James Corden and fuck off.

He can keep his hat on though, I quite like his hat. Not really into the stereotypical indie attire but have always had a soft spot for a lovely bucket hat.

Yeah James Cordon was in between the stage and crowd watching Kanye West alongside Kim Kardasian and Lewis Hamilton, there was an A list actor with them as well who looked out of place as he was the only one of the group who wasn't a c**t but I forgot his name

Bradley Cooper?

Yeah cos only people aged 18-35 are allowed to enjoy festivals. Radiohead are still active and recording new music. They're as relevant today as they were 20 years ago.

    • That would be perfect!
    • If the festival was on this forecast for the end of the month would really raise the excitement levels 😊😉
    • I think their best chance is to get at Brazil. I though Casemiro in particular but the entire Brazil midfield was awful for the first half of that game, and if McTominay and McGinn press and run past them they've got every chance of getting the lead. You kinda assume Vini Jr and Raphinha will do something at some point in any game, but Brazil look like they're waiting for their stars to make something happen, instead of having a team plan.   I stand by my claim before the tourney that Morocco put 3 past Scotland, which suggests to me they need to nick a draw against Brazil.
    • The dance and pop acts seem to be going down more than the rest lol. Download has turned into 90s fest of the Midlands haha, but it's all silly music no one actually likes lol.
    • It was never going to be great was it, there is comments of Mickey Mouse all over socials lol which is very similar to Glastonbury.  Someone I know from RIP watched Welcome to the Jungle and left and they went saying they've got to see GNR. It was the only day not to see out as well.
